I was driving down the interstate today from Alabama to East Tennessee for the Easter weekend. I was thinking about something I read this morning about several major universities now offering "white privilege" courses. A point arrived when I had to make a bathroom stop. While inside the stop-n-rob place I was waiting in line to pay for a snack. As I always do, I was scanning my surroundings and I noticed about ten people in the store. A couple of white folks. A couple of black folks. And, a couple of Hispanic folks based on the chatter they shared. A thought hit me right between the eyes. If the case and point of America being to white is true, then does that make Somalia to black? Or Mexico to brown? Or Saudi Arabia to brown? Or Cape Verde to black? Or Germany to white? Are you getting my point? What say you?
