Patriot Express Newsletter Edition #115

Greetings and welcome to the PENL Edition #115. Thanks for being here with us to check out some thoughts and preparedness information that will hopefully help you on this journey to self-reliance. While we approach the ending of June, we must stay focused and work on our preparedness plans and resources. I do believe the remainder of summer will be interesting and could become challenging. Are you ready?

It was a great week at Hope for Survival. Along with all the normal events and responsibilities through my week. I got to visit with a lot of fellow Patriots which always makes it a great week. It takes a lot of work keeping Hope for Survival functioning behind the computer screen with working the website, writing the weekly newsletter, putting the weekly zoom together, adding new Patriots to the data base, community team building, reading and researching, answering emails and so forth. But it's time on the ground visiting different communities and fellow Patriots that keeps things real and true. As I stated in a recent podcast appearance, the names on the computer screen are real Americans. People trying to live day to day and survive. This keeps everything in perspective and real. This is a good thing.

This week I got to visit Festus up on the Cumberland Plateau and share a meal over great conversations, as always. I share more on my conversation below in Thought for the Week. I would like to welcome a new group of Patriots who will build a community group south of Nashville, TN and will be called the Middle Tennessee Group. Welcome fellow Patriots. We are happy to have you with the HFS family. I even got to have breakfast with Bama Rebel himself and Ms. T. Dear friends and true Patriots. Bama Rebel is a man of few words and a abundance of wisdom when he does speak. I wanted to visit more Patriots during this period in Huntsville but I just ran out of time. I was hoping to stick around through Saturday to attend the Huntsville Alpha Groups training event. Maybe next time. I say this for everyone and to all the HFS Groups, keep preparing and learning skills. I hope I am wrong but I do believe we could get to use our resources and skills in the next few months. Stay alert and attentive to your local surroundings. If you haven't read my newest book The Mindset I would encourage you to do so soon. I'm not trying to sell you a book. I'm trying to help you with some information and tips to be alert and acting outside the box and left of bang. Your decision.

About the time you read this newsletter I will be back on the Cumberland Plateau on my travels back to East TN. I will be visiting and sharing a meal with eight plus Patriots in the area. It had been since December since we last gathered to chat and share a meal. Festus, Bev Jo, and Smokey was able to join us as well. It was a good time. Thanks for coming out to spend a few hours together.

I continue to be amazed at how many American loving Patriots we are surrounded with. Great people and great conversations shared. It seems I can never get enough time on the ground to spend with so many awesome Americans. Thanks to all who took the time to come out and share with HFS. Your support is greatly appreciated.

In my "thoughts for the week" I stay focused on preparedness and areas we must address and maintain, both spiritually and earthly. I share some thoughts on a conversation that Festus and I had during our visit. I will discuss why having a community team and plan is important and I also shared some suggestions on things to consider buying if we arrive to a "final 24 hour purchase" list. This is a longer PENL because I have a lot to share with you in my thoughts. Hope you stick around to the end.

We must make this brief public announcement to protect the innocent.

Ding, Ding, Ding....Attention HFS readers..... Opinions shared in this newsletter are just that, opinions, and nothing more. Read at your own risk. The owner and author of this site is not responsible for hurt feelings or thin-skinned readers. I do my best to show restraint and respect to the best extent possible. I take as many precautions as possible and try to remain as nonpolitical as possible, however, there are times when I just can't help but point certain things out. Occasionally I use words only Patriots recognize and understand. It's not personal against any non-Patriot. It's just the truth. Sometimes we must pull up our spenders and suck it up. Just saying. Stay the course, read what you want, and avoid the rest. Avoid fear porn as much as possible and the day will be okay. When all else fails… Keep the faith and always have Hope.

Let’s move along and get to some thoughts...

Thoughts for the week

It was a great week at Hope for Survival. Along with all the normal occurring events through my week I got to visit with a lot of fellow Patriots which always makes it a great week. A lot of keeping Hope for Survival functioning is behind the computer screen working the website, writing the weekly newsletter, putting the weekly zoom together, adding new Patriots to the data base, reading and researching, answering emails and so forth. But it's time on the ground in different communities visiting fellow Patriots that keeps things real and true. As I stated in a recent podcast appearance, the names on the computer screen are real Americans. People around the Southeastern United States trying to live day to day and survive. This keeps everything in perspective and real.

got to travel up the mountain to visit with Festus for a few hours. I have been so busy the past couple months I have not had the chance to venture up on the Cumberland Plateau in Tennessee to get together. We had lunch together and had a good chat on numerous topics involving preparedness, faith, life, and communication capabilities to name a few. It is hard to solve the worlds problems in a few hours but we tried. I certainly appreciate all that Festus contributes to the weekly mission here at Hope for Survival. Reading and research is a large part of everything we attempt to offer to the followers at Hope for Survival. We don't do predictions but sometimes share opinions based on what we see. Connecting the dots to bring things together is a large part of putting the puzzle together. This takes a lot of time and is mentally taxing as well. Not to mention spending long hours reading negative news daily can be negative and personally impact ones mind and life. Staying focused and keeping life in perspective is critical. For years Festus and I cross check one another for personal sanity and staying grounded. Our personal faith is the strongest contributor daily.

One thing we discussed I want to share with you because it is important for everyone. We talked about how we are surrounded by so much negative news and changes to our nation that is causing a lot of people to be unsettled. Festus and I both often have unsettled gut feelings that we share between us. Change is moving people out of their normal mindset and moving them towards something unknown which is normally uncomfortable. The average person does not like change. Especially change that is mostly not acceptable in meeting the basic standards within the guardrails of morality. We do not like being moved out of our daily comfort zone to the unknown. We have so many battles going on in our great nation. We have the wealthy vs the middle class and poor. Christians vs all others. Racial division is growing. Democrats vs Republicans. Global warming vs anti-Global Warming, Shall I continue? Our government is pushing a anti-Patriot, anti-conservative, anti-Christian, anti-veteran, message against many. Negativity, negativity, negativity. How on earth can a person who stays caught up in it maintain a positive outlook?

The deeper message here is everything boils down to good vs evil. Right? Think about it. Everything our nation was founded on and survived on through history is now being taught as wrong. It is hate and disparaging to many. Of course many things happened in history that many could argue as being wrong. Think about how many people took part in building the greatest nation on earth. Think about all the great accomplishments through history that we enjoy today. Communications, electricity, air conditioning, the highway system, medical, the internet, laws offering equality and opportunity. Now voices are spouting the United States as being the worst place to live and how everyone is racist and criminal...blah, blah, blah. How many of these voices came here after birth and took the opportunity to have a better life? Ahh, we don't consider that part. Agenda vs opportunity. We hear comparatives to Marxism and Communism. For four straight years we heard "orange man bad" and today they continue to beat orange man up at every corner. Negative, negative, negative. Orange man promoted an agenda of America First and it was labeled racist by those with agendas vs opportunity. The southern border also offers an exit ramp that one can leave as freely as those entering illegally.

So lets dive deeper in to the problem. Why on earth do so many people still stay glued to the lie box watching this stuff spewed from the mouths of people being paid to communicate a set agenda? Why? I have shared with many how during the past 18 months I have been at peace through the duration of Covid-19, pre-election, election, and post-election, 2020. I watched and monitored what was taking place in our nation along with everyone else. I watched even closer the impact it was having on people. People I cared about and even worried about at times. I covered this a few weeks ago in another PENL on the psychology of media and how it consumes
