Patriot Express Newsletter Edition #176

Greetings and welcome to the Patriot Express Newsletter Edition #176. Thanks for joining us for another week. We are always happy to have you join us. I would like to welcome our new readers from Rhode Island, Michigan, and Idaho. Make yourself at home and give me a shout if you have questions or input.

I must tell you it is impossible to provide you with all the news and information we see weekly that should probably be addressed. Hopefully you are paying attention and grabbing information you identify as important to you.

There will be no biscuits and gravy today. As I work through putting this week's newsletter together, I will enjoy cucumbers and tomatoes from the garden along with canned dill pickles from this year's treasures. Yum, yum. I enjoyed a piece of Ms. Lucy's tomato pie earlier this morning and as always, it was great. Does anything taste better than what you have grown yourself? I think not.

It's mid-August and after getting plenty of rain in June and July and the first part of August, we are seeing some leaves already starting to change colors. Many farmers in the local region of East Tennessee are chattering about a rough winter ahead. They talk about the birds and leaves giving them early signs to what is ahead. I'm here thinking about transhumanism and the great reset, and they are warning of important seasonal signs ahead. What they are saying is a local impact and more important than my thoughts. Sometimes I feel as though I am in a blender with no exit doors. Do you ever feel this way?

It was a great week here for HFS in our community. We enjoyed a great lunch gathering with four of our HFS sisters and brothers. Great opportunity to discuss faith, preparedness and the local community. It also allows likeminded preparers to spend time together and develop a stronger bond. Ms. Lucy and I appreciate the host offering this opportunity to be together. The blessing in these opportunities to be together is the faith and uplifting of minds outweighs the negative news surrounding us. We refuse to allow anything to get us down and discuss ways to overcome and be strong.

I got to spend several hours with an HFS brother from the Chattanooga region who is one of the HFS Community Group team leaders. It is always awesome to spend time with another like-minded individual who is on fire for the Lord and personal preparedness. We enjoyed brunch and then went back to my home to further our discussions. He got to spend a few minutes at the home of another HFS Patriot family in the area where we discussed solar and personal firearm training. You see, we are all in this together and we spend time together to bond, learn, and grow as individuals and community. Thanks to everyone who made this happen.

Ms. Lucy and I enjoyed dinner at another HFS families home here in our local community. We had a great meal together with lots of conversation on politics and the way ahead for America. We also spent some time reminiscing and debating which era offered the best music to listeners....60s, 70s, or 80s. Good stuff. Great time going down memory lane. Ya know, it is possible to step outside of the stress of life and spend some time giving your mind a break. It helps.

HFS Thursday Zoom #94 – HFS Rally #94 was conducted with discussion of the importance of an alerting system and how it could be used to give members a "heads up" to potential threats coming to local and regional areas where HFS members reside. We also spent time discussing the importance of understanding the psychological side of spiritual and personal preparedness. Thanks to everyone for your participation in this week's event.

Ding, Ding, Ding....Attention HFS readers..... Opinions shared in this newsletter are just that, opinions, and nothing more. Read at your own risk. The owner and author of this site is not responsible for hurt feelings or thin-skinned readers. I do my best to show restraint and respect to the best extent possible. I take as many precautions as possible and try to remain as nonpolitical as possible, however, there are times when I just can't help but point certain things out. Occasionally I use words only Patriots recognize and understand. It's not personal against any non-Patriot. It's just the truth. Sometimes we must pull up our spenders and suck it up. Just saying. Stay the course, read what you want, and avoid the rest. Avoid fear porn as much as possible and the day will be okay. When all else fails… Keep the faith and always have Hope.

Let’s move along and get to some thoughts...

Thoughts for the week -

The Dancing Chicken -

My pastor recently referenced the dancing chicken in a sermon. When I think of the dancing chicken originating years ago around 1955, I think of several of the objectives of the video from two perspectives: preparedness and spiritual. The chicken would be in a holding area and when a patron would deposit a token or coin a door would open and the chicken would immediately cross over to another holding area. After a few seconds, the chicken would start to prance and after a minute, the chicken would high step it and appear to dance more. Moving around in the appearance of a dancing chicken. What the patron didn't know is the chicken would be standing on a hot plate where the temperature would fluctuate in degrees to turn the heat up and down. Check out the video below to see the dancing chicken.

When speaking of preparers or preppers I encounter different types. There are those who live it and breath it and those who think they are preparing by watching lots of videos or attending meetings and being able to talk the preparedness lingo in discussions with other preparers. Yet, they make no progress month to month, and year to year. I start to ask questions and ask pointed questions and I start to see the heat turning up as the person tap dances around the question and conversation.

Now, let me be clear, I'm not criticizing these individuals on any account because the degree and level one prepares is a personal choice. Right? From my end and perspective, I can only encourage and attempt to provide support to individuals who are wanting to be prepared and taking steps forward to be prepared. I will assist one in building their preparedness plans and how to obtain resources, but I won't do it for them. If I spend time doing it for the person, then what are they gaining from it? Nothing.

We have many qualified preparers doing great things in numerous locations and states as well as the ease of helping others virtually through video connections. In person is better but virtually is better than doing nothing at all. Again, it boils down to the individual and how serious the person is to get prepared and to what level of self-reliance one wishes to achieve.

Festus and I started down this path in preparedness years ago and we have attempted to sound the alarm to others for nearly seven years, and the last three and a half years under the Hope for Survival banner. When we first started a few alternative media outlets attempted to sound the same alarm. Fortunately for HFS, we put most of the puzzle together years ago and it provides us the ability to alert those listening well in advance. Today, several mainstream voices are now sounding the same alarm we have been voicing for years. The same mainstream voices are also offering survival foods and other preparedness resources and they are benefiting financially. There is nothing wrong with one earning funding from their work. It is more a matter of knowing when to extract and focus on what is important to get you prepared.

The point here is where are people investing time and energy? Are they boots on the ground with their time and resources being managed to help build a better preparedness package or are they going podcast to podcast dancing like a chicken to get anxious and upset over what they are being told? How much of what they are hearing is true or comes true? If they are focused on all the world's problems and putting no or minimal effort in preparing, they are missing the entire opportunity to take advantage of the time they have today to prepare. They need to prepare for what is coming. They have numerous bells and whistles sounding alarms today and instead of rowing the boat in a safe direction they are standing in the boat with binoculars as the tidal wave approaches to wash them away.

The other side of the dancing chicken is how one addresses their own personal spirituality, period. It doesn't matter if the person only practices their faith on Sunday or if the person gets offended by how scripture is being taught. Many churches today are spiritual buffets ensuring the church message doesn't hurt feelings of the attendee. They control and limit intent of scripture to avoid offending attendees to the service. The amount of Sunday offerings has become more important to the church than the weight of the message being taught through scripture. Why do you think so many Christians are no longer involved in a church? Now we can debate some of the reasons and how someone in the church offended the individual. I hear it often how individuals are no longer attending a church because someone else in the congregation hurt their feelings. Let me ask this question on this point. Did God offend you or did another imperfect human do something offensive? It is often easy to forget that we are to be merciful and even meek towards others. It is when we become human and turn off our God GPS system that we lose our guidance system and walk astray as a sinful human. Right?

We have to ask ourselves about our own spiritual commitment. Do we prepare for the service we are attending, or do we fly into the parking lot on two wheels, exit the vehicle while it's still rolling, and then slide through the front door of the church with our pants on fire? Is going to church a burden that we must do to check a block? Do we silently ask the question "wonder what the preacher will speak about today?" Does it matter? Personally, I like to leave the Sunday service feeling like the preacher was talking directly to me. As we watch our nation in slow motion crash from a lack of morality we should be asking internally if we are Biblically conviction or are we going the way of culture chasing the world and earthly possessions.

Some may not come to this preparedness site to hear my thoughts as a Christian and including faith in preparedness talks. I get it. I really do. But, if you have read either of my books, attended in person training, or other HFS platforms, HFS has always stated the most important part of your individual preparedness is addressing one's spiritual, psychological, and physical well-being. Especially if you want to lead by example and be a role model to others in both the spiritual and preparedness journeys. We don't know what the future holds, the timing of potential events, or anything else. As I have shared previously, in my prior life in the military, I experienced unsaved non-Christian professionals request to talk to a Christian during periods of higher threat operations or when injured and facing death.

I recently conversed with another HFS patriot brother on this point and how being an example and walking the walk is so important when talking with. others, saved or not. I was blessed in my military career to have numerous leaders of high quality who led by example. Some Christian and some not. Because I grew used to this in my life, I now personally prefer to work with and follow one who walks the walk and is not all talk. Does the person set the example or are they a dancing chicken when the heat is turned up? Some practice faith on Sunday and forget it the remainder of the week. They go into a service and stand with arms up singing halleluiah three times then turn their God GPS off as they exit the church, home or community Bible study. Again, this is a personal choice and how one decides to act and practice either their faith or preparedness steps is up to that person. I mention this because a time will come when you may be thrown into a position of leadership and those around you are looking at you for decisions and to lead them. Are you ready?

Why am I once again discussing this? Because going forward having our individual act together will be important for many reasons that I won't address here. I am no better than you or above you. I'm simply sharing my thoughts on these topics, and they are based on things I see and witness and believe to be very important. Like i always tell you, I'm not here to impress you or lead you astray. I'm simply sharing what I believe to be true at this time.

For those riding the fence and believing everything will be fine, or just drinking the Kool Aid of the lying hyped media and relying on the government to fix everything, you can be like Woody and Matthew and do the happy Chicken dance their style in the old movie Ed Tv. It is pretty funny on the surface. Just as depicted in the video below and point of the movie where the world could log in and watch the virtual lives taking pace, there's many watching us, the steps we take, and the examples we choose to set day to day. You decide.

Next ....

Quicksand - Are you stepping back and continually evaluating what is taking place around you? This is getting outside the box and trying to stay left of bang. It should be your goal in everything you do. See it and adjust before it is on top of you.

Many preparers I speak with will start a sentence or topic by saying "when it gets here" or "when the SHTF arrives" I will do this or that and other topics. But I hear the phrase "when it gets here" so often. Folks, it is already here. While we wait for the opposing Army to come over the hillside in our community, the quicksand is surrounding us day by day. It is moving closer in many different facets. And when the Army never arrives some will shake their head and wonder what all the hype was about. Some will get angry and feel they got mislead. They will stop and fail to realize they are surrounded with no way out. It may be safe to say it is of no fault of their own. They trusted the authority voice and followed the path of millions who believed history would repeat itself and others would show up to fix the problem. Has anyone fixed the cost of fuel, food, health insurance, failing businesses, crime....... No. It is growing worse daily and weekly. I get it, many are focused on figuring out how to pay weekly bills and feed their family. They don't have time to stop and ask "what is going on."

I continually offer thoughts on this topic because my hope is to get individuals to understand in many cases they are being hoodwinked and they are biting on hooks with lots of bait and they are being pulled in on a line that never finishes being reeled in. Like 70s blues and rock star Edgar Winter used to sing "Come on and take a free ride,"

Going into autumn, we will continue seeing major changes being implemented around the world and our nation. From a global internet police force to enforce restrictions on 1st Amendment rights, to banks making changes impacting your ability to conduct business in ways of the past. You will use the internet to schedule appointments and banks will have fewer workers in their lobbies. Surprised? This was information everyone could read and available to the world a few years ago but it was labeled conspiracy chatter. It won't be long until doctors will have access to your grocery list and all the donuts you buy while being treated for sugar caused health issues. Oh, your health insurance will also have access and have the ability to deny medical care for your failure to comply. It goes on and on. Get used to it. The world is changing, good or bad, and most of the populace sleeps through the conversion to a new world and new ways of thinking. If you don't think like authorities, you will be labeled. Wait and see.

HFS warned members of the coming internet global police a year ago and now many acts surprised. No, we aren't geniuses, though you can think we are if you wish. Ha Ha. We simply pay attention, research, and dig deeper. It is important because global leaders talk and write about what they plan and when they will deploy it against the people. Ten years ago, people thought we had lost our mind when we shared our thoughts and today, well, we could say "we told you so" but we are bigger than that. Fortunately, we started putting things together long enough ago that we had several years to continue sounding the alarm as the time has arrived for those who will listen and realize the changes occurring are not all for the good. Of course, that is a personal opinion and not all will agree. I wonder how some will feel when the wrath of 87,000 IRS agents storms the nation and they are visited because their ideology is against the reigning administration. Yawn..... is this bad dream over yet? Well, it's all in how we look at it, right?

Regardless of one's views, let us go into the weekend with a smile, hope, and a wish for world peace. We should be adult enough to have the ability to agree to disagree without wanting to destroy one another. I often whisper to myself, "what happened to the days of baseball, hotdogs, apple pie and your choice here?" Now someone wants to force us or change the laws to input what will be our choice because they know what is best for us. Last time I checked, they worked for us, didn't they?

Until next week, be at peace and know each of us can make tomorrow a better day for someone else.

And that's my thoughts for the week....

Preparedness News

1. From Jeremiah Johnson - Organic Prepper - What You Need to Know About Personal Hydroelectric Power (theorganicprepper.com) - I used to hear rumblings of interest from Preparers interested in hydroelectric power but not lately. This is another option if you are looking for secondary power sources.

2. From Tom Marlowe - Survival Sullivan - Should You Ground a Faraday Cage Against EMPs? - Survival Sullivan - This is a great topic that is not discussed often enough. Including myself, when EMPs or CMEs get discussed, we direct our attention to Dr. Arthur Bradley, Jonathan Hollerman, or Dr. Vincent Pry, or even the folks at EMP Shield product for protection. This article offers some good sight on the topic to consider.

3. From Chris Richards - Mind 4 Survival - Bug-Out Bags for College Students - Mind4Survival - How can you be a complete preparer going through all the phases and steps to be self-reliant and ignore setting your child or children up with bug-out-bags to have while away from home? Are you possibly setting your child up for failure? Maybe. I know preparers down in Huntsville who took the steps to build bug-out-bags as Christmas gifts to send away with a child going back to school away from the family's local area. Smart move and be responsible.

4. From Tom Marlowe - Homesteading Hippy - How Much Sun Does Broccoli Need to Grow? * The Homesteading Hippy - I only know of one gardner who has mastered growing broccoli. By mid-June he had put away over 40 bags of broccoli to his freezer for the winter months. His broccoli plants are beautiful. Mine, well, they are nothing to write home about. Broccoli is not my friend in the garden. Here's some good information for broccoli growers.

5. From Old World Garde Farms - How To Get Rid Of Squash Bugs - Protect Your Garden & Plants! (oldworldgardenfarms.com) - Squash is one of the most exciting plants to watch grow from its planting to the end. The trick is how many squash plants survive the season without mold or bugs? i have experienced both and they aren't fun. The bugs I experienced attacked my squash from the base or root and destroyed each stem from the inside out. I would leave my garden in the evening with beautiful plants and return the following morning to find a deflated squash plant that would be flat on the ground and CPR would not save it. Powered mildew or mold was entirely different. Slower and visible. The squash leaves would become a powdery white color and if you shook the leave a dusty powder would fall off. You don't want to shake the leave and instead immediately remove the entire plant from your garden because the dusty substance is toxic to other plants around the squash.

Other News -

1. From Francis Porretto - Liberty Torch - Liberty's Torch – Pro-Freedom, Pro-Christian, and Pro-America! (libertystorch.info) - This is an excellent article to consume and think about. The importance of where we started and where we are now is missed by many Americans. Heck, even parents of today's school children are missing the fact of what children are being taught in school each day. Where we are at tomorrow remains to be seen.

2. From Chris Martenson - Peak Prosperity - WOW!!! CDC Completely Reverses Course. IT'S OVER! | Peak Prosperity - I bet you didn't see this in mainstream media did you? How about the nightly news? Nope and nope. You are being lied to with every breath and many are consuming it like milk chasing the last Oreo in the pack. Got pack the stomach with goodies before hurrying out early in the morning to get jab number 8 or 10 or 12 or.....

3. From Charles Brandt - The Federalist - The TERM Act Would Pack SCOTUS With Politicians In Robes (thefederalist.com) - Wow, imagine some of our elected officials coming out in black robes and partaking in a role as a Supreme Court Justice. Would it be a cross between Tim the Tool Man and Barney Miller or maybe a Bernie Mac visit Mork from Mork and Mindy to discuss ways to humor the populace to the insanity while they drive the nation further over the cliff.

4. From John Zmirak - The Stream - Donald Trump Is the MLK of the Working Class and Christians. No Wonder the FBI Is Persecuting Him, Too - The Stream - Very good read and thought provoking for the comparison that many will miss simply because of the title.

5. From Duncan Smith - The National Sentinel - Thanks to long-term pandemic closures implemented by Dems to hurt Trump, tons of small businesses are NEVER coming back, despite trillions 'invested' in them - The National Sentinel - Most miss it and the others won't get it. Follow the lead and don't look back. Lock up, lock down, lock the door, and hope the loch ness monster doesn't hit your house. The lockdown boogie monster is on the loose and most will run from it. Get ready.

Drum roll...........

That's all my Patriot brothers and sisters.

Prayers - Please keep our great nation, our elected leaders, military and first responders in your thoughts and prayers. We pray for good health and wisdom. Please pray for our leadership to find answers and guidance to the problems facing our great nation. May your faith remain strong and answers to the unknown provided. God is good and may our prayers blanket and protect you and your circumstances. I pray for each, and every one of our Patriots.

May we pray for all the blessings and things in life to be thankful about and continued hope for revival around the world. We must continually pray for the unsaved, our family and friends who live each day without the protection for eternal life and salvation.

Please pray for our HFS family. We have numerous prayers needed from state to state. I'm sure folks would appreciate it much. Please keep our Patriot brother and his family in northern Alabama in your prayers. We have a special prayer request from our Patriot sister and brother in Western NC whose family member will be traveling outside the United States to practice a very special skill and need in a less than desirable location. Please pray for safety, vision, protection, wisdom and a clear path to and from the destination.

Please pray for eastern Kentucky and western West Virginia as they recover from massive flooding and loss of loved ones and property. Thank you for those who donated to support the relief efforts.

As Patriots we must stay strong and never give up. Our home, community, and nation need us now more than ever. Stay focused on your local community and things that will impact you around the nation. Don't allow the events around you to create fear in your life. Build your own self-reliance and focus on faith and hope. Remember we are a blessed nation, and we must continue to be great people today and make a better tomorrow. Keep charging.

Blessings,

Bravo Echo Out,
