Patriot Express Newsletter Edition #176

Greetings and welcome to the Patriot Express Newsletter Edition #176. Thanks for joining us for another week. We are always happy to have you join us. I would like to welcome our new readers from Rhode Island, Michigan, and Idaho. Make yourself at home and give me a shout if you have questions or input.

I must tell you it is impossible to provide you with all the news and information we see weekly that should probably be addressed. Hopefully you are paying attention and grabbing information you identify as important to you.

There will be no biscuits and gravy today. As I work through putting this week's newsletter together, I will enjoy cucumbers and tomatoes from the garden along with canned dill pickles from this year's treasures. Yum, yum. I enjoyed a piece of Ms. Lucy's tomato pie earlier this morning and as always, it was great. Does anything taste better than what you have grown yourself? I think not.

It's mid-August and after getting plenty of rain in June and July and the first part of August, we are seeing some leaves already starting to change colors. Many farmers in the local region of East Tennessee are chattering about a rough winter ahead. They talk about the birds and leaves giving them early signs to what is ahead. I'm here thinking about transhumanism and the great reset, and they are warning of important seasonal signs ahead. What they are saying is a local impact and more important than my thoughts. Sometimes I feel as though I am in a blender with no exit doors. Do you ever feel this way?

It was a great week here for HFS in our community. We enjoyed a great lunch gathering with four of our HFS sisters and brothers. Great opportunity to discuss faith, preparedness and the local community. It also allows likeminded preparers to spend time together and develop a stronger bond. Ms. Lucy and I appreciate the host offering this opportunity to be together. The blessing in these opportunities to be together is the faith and uplifting of minds outweighs the negative news surrounding us. We refuse to allow anything to get us down and discuss ways to overcome and be strong.

I got to spend several hours with an HFS brother from the Chattanooga region who is one of the HFS Community Group team leaders. It is always awesome to spend time with another like-minded individual who is on fire for the Lord and personal preparedness. We enjoyed brunch and then went back to my home to further our discussions. He got to spend a few minutes at the home of another HFS Patriot family in the area where we discussed solar and personal firearm training. You see, we are all in this together and we spend time together to bond, learn, and grow as individuals and community. Thanks to everyone who made this happen.

Ms. Lucy and I enjoyed dinner at another HFS families home here in our local community. We had a great meal together with lots of conversation on politics and the way ahead for America. We also spent some time reminiscing and debating which era offered the best music to listeners....60s, 70s, or 80s. Good stuff. Great time going down memory lane. Ya know, it is possible to step outside of the stress of life and spend some time giving your mind a break. It helps.

HFS Thursday Zoom #94 – HFS Rally #94 was conducted with discussion of the importance of an alerting system and how it could be used to give members a "heads up" to potential threats coming to local and regional areas where HFS members reside. We also spent time discussing the importance of understanding the psychological side of spiritual and personal preparedness. Thanks to everyone for your participation in this week's event.

We must make this brief public announcement to protect the innocent.

Ding, Ding, Ding....Attention HFS readers..... Opinions shared in this newsletter are just that, opinions, and nothing more. Read at your own risk. The owner and author of this site is not responsible for hurt feelings or thin-skinned readers. I do my best to show restraint and respect to the best extent possible. I take as many precautions as possible and try to remain as nonpolitical as possible, however, there are times when I just can't help but point certain things out. Occasionally I use words only Patriots recognize and understand. It's not personal against any non-Patriot. It's just the truth. Sometimes we must pull up our spenders and suck it up. Just saying. Stay the course, read what you want, and avoid the rest. Avoid fear porn as much as possible and the day will be okay. When all else fails… Keep the faith and always have Hope.

Let’s move along and get to some thoughts...

Thoughts for the week -

The Dancing Chicken -

My pastor recently referenced the dancing chicken in a sermon. When I think of the dancing chicken originating years ago around 1955, I think of several of the objectives of the video from two perspectives: preparedness and spiritual. The chicken would be in a holding area and when a patron would deposit a token or coin a door would open and the chicken would immediately cross over to another holding area. After a few seconds, the chicken would start to prance and after a minute, the chicken would high step it and appear to dance more. Moving around in the appearance of a dancing chicken. What the patron didn't know is the chicken would be standing on a hot plate where the temperature would fluctuate in degrees to turn the heat up and down. Check out the video below to see the dancing chicken.

When speaking of preparers or preppers I encounter different types. There are those who live it and breath it and those who think they are preparing by watching lots of videos or attending meetings and being able to talk the preparedness lingo in discussions with other preparers. Yet, they make no progress month to month, and year to year. I start to ask questions and ask pointed questions and I start to see the heat turning up as the person tap dances around the question and conversation.

Now, let me be clear, I'm not criticizing these individuals on any account because the degree and level one prepares is a personal choice. Right? From my end and perspective, I can only encourage and attempt to provide support to individuals who are wanting to be prepared and taking steps forward to be prepared. I will assist one in building their preparedness plans and how to obtain resources, but I won't do it for them. If I spend time doing it for the person, then what are they gaining from it? Nothing.
