Patriot Express Newsletter Edition #255

Updated: Feb 23

Greetings and welcome to the Patriot Express Newsletter Edition #255. Blink, it's over. February is soon over, and March will roar in like a lion. Garden season is moving upon us quickly and the old canner is dancing around with joy. Oh yea, I love this time of year. Planting, growing, tending, and talking to the plants. There, I said it. No different from talking to a golf ball, your comb and brush, or that much anticipated dinner you are working over to make perfect.

The Hope for Survival Annual Donation drive starts soon. At midnight closing out February 2024, I will make the official post kicking off the drive. This is the single month of the year where we collect donations to cover operating cost for HFS for the year. This is strictly funding for all the subscriptions, fees, editing software, zoom applications, and so forth. For all the new folks here, we will soon celebrate our 5th Anniversary and for five years Festus and I provided this service for free. So, be on the watch out and if you can and feel it worthy in your heart, please consider a donation to help us survive another year. We greatly appreciate it much. March 1, 2024, starting at midnight. Hope to see ya there. (Wink)

It is a busy week on my end with another trip to Huntsville Monday - Friday. Travel, day job work, writing this newsletter, recording and editing YouTube videos, and meeting with HFS Patriot(s) for dinner and discussions on HFS and preparedness. Ms. Lucy and I will get to spend some quality time on Saturday and Sunday with two special friends who will be visiting our area. A week just doesn't have enough time in it. If technology works right, this newsletter will post while I'm driving home on Friday.

The world is such a heavy place with what seems to be so much negative news pumped in our direction minute by minute. On the other hand, I like to find positive stories of good people doing great things for strangers around the world. WHAT!!! Yea, it still happens and it's more than you realize. In the past I have shared a link and videos of a Christian Patriot friend, Chuck Holton at the Red Zone. Ms. Lucy and I attended the same church with Chuck and his family in West Virginia about 20 years ago. Chuck is a Christian War Correspondent for CBN and Newsmax as well as an independent report all over the world. Typically, a war zone. Internal to his work as a reporter, Chuck has a big heart and works to help women and children survive. You can catch Chuck's work on YouTube at The Hot Zone With Chuck Holton - YouTube From Israel to Afghanistan, Burma to Panama, Syria to Armenia, Chuck is a fair and level journalist bringing the world to you. Check him out.

The video below is a recent post on Chuck's YouTube page taking you inside the Free Burma Rangers led by a former American Green Beret officer and his family. Chuck is currently in transit from Panama to Burma to cover the ongoing war between the Burma military and citizens. This is uplifting and shows, once again, we do have good people doing great things to help others. Check it out.

We must make this brief public announcement to protect the innocent.

Ding, Ding, Ding....Attention HFS readers..... Opinions shared in this newsletter are just that, opinions, and nothing more. Read at your own risk. The owner and author of this site is not responsible for hurt feelings or thin-skinned readers. I do my best to show restraint and respect to the best extent possible. I take as many precautions as possible and try to remain as nonpolitical as possible, however, there are times when I just can't help but point certain things out. Occasionally I use words only Patriots recognize and understand. It's not personal against any non-Patriot. It's just the truth. Sometimes we must pull up our spenders and suck it up. Just saying. Stay the course, read what you want, and avoid the rest. Avoid fear porn as much as possible and the day will be okay. When all else fails… Keep the faith and always have Hope.

Let’s move along and get to some thoughts...

Thoughts for the week - Good shall prevail.

Thank you for all the feedback from last week's PENL. My thoughts were long and deep but honest with you on where I see things in our nation today.

First and foremost, remember, evil is always conquered. As the saying goes, "we know how the story ends." True? Those who practice faith and offered from a spiritual perspective, this should be easy to understand.

I want you to consider approaching our news and information from the following perspective.

I closed last weeks "thoughts for the week by commenting about why dinner matters if the train is going off the cliff. This is a broad stated comment but in fact it is specific to the person it applies because we are all different. Things such as age, physical condition, abilities and skills, location, and financial ability, to prepare and position yourself to withstand to your best ability what may be ahead. There is a difference.

Fear equals failure in the case of the unprepared. Poor decisions typically come from a position of fear and hopelessness. One who feels defeated early in the fight will typically fail to stress and mental breakdown. Being prepared will hopefully support your efforts to stand strong, lead, and overcome what you may face wherever you're at. These are all topics HFS has covered in the past five years. Adapt, overcome, and survive.

Over the lifespan of HFS, we have used a building block approach to lay out a plan or path for one to follow preparing self, family, and your community. From leadership to communications, food to shelter, security to medicinal, water to a P.A.C.E. Plan, and more. We have brought in guest speakers to our HFS Thursday Zoom platform covering medical, nutrition, communications, leadership, the Constitution and Law, caring for animals, and dumpster diving for preparedness resources to refurbish, and more. Our very first guest was my Marine brother from Philadelphia who is an Iraqi war veteran who joined our HFS Thursday Zoom to discuss the important of leadership.

We have conducted onsite training rallies multiple times and visited HFS group areas to take part in their training sessions or provided same. From NC to AL, KY, GA, SC, and TN. This wasn't for my heath or to fill my schedule. It was laying out a foundation for preparers to build upon to work towards a self-reliant policy to be self-supportive during a time of crisis. This is the training part of the process.

Information, news, intelligence, or whatever you wish to call it. is the information you can obtain here on this newsletter, our HFS YouTube videos, Zoom sessions and so forth. The information here is to alert you to possible concerns ahead. It's not to sink your ship or send you off to a dark closet. I get it and understand it. Personally, I hate it for all of us.

Information provided by any source is to inform you. What you do with the information depends on you and why you collected the information. How you use the information is key. I would suggest you approach it like this.

You are a boxer preparing for the biggest match of your life. Your trainer is preparing you for six months or a year. Your manager and team watches video of your opponent to collect patterns and tendencies, where is your opponent strong or weak. Left or right-handed. Speed, size, training strengths and weaknesses, wins and losses prior to your match, known or shown vulnerabilities in previous boxing matches. What is the longest fight to this point your opponent has fought, The list is long and cumbersome. But each collected point matters and a single point or compilation of points could be the difference in victory or defeat.

The long list of stories, topics, and threats is the information collected on our future opponent(s). Remember, I spoke in the past of the cause and effect of threats globally, nationally, and local. It is up to you to decide, one by one, how these events could impact your way of life. Many of you already possess resources in food, water, shelter, and security. Do you realize you are ahead of roughly 90% of our populace? This is a great start. Now you must continue by taking all the different threats and apply the risk factor to each fo them. We covered the risk assessment process multiple times to include in my second book, the Mindset.

You are training for the big match, physically, spiritually, and psychologically. You take all the information gathered to apply in the above three areas. Simple huh? Not really. You take all the possible threats that your opponent can use to defeat you and you better prepare your plans and position to offset and hopefully overcome and defeat, mitigate, or alter your plan to avoid the threat. This is the part that is on you. I can only suggest possible considerations to you, but you must prepare and decide what path you will take.

Next....

Oh, it doesn't end with chicken houses burning down and the path to ensure you will eat bugs and be happy about it. Below you will find to informative and excellent videos on the battle to save beef and our farms.

Here is another excellent video on Rumble discussing the same topic. This is from the Save Tennessee platform with Gary Humble. (Thanks to our East TN Patriot sister for this submission)

Stay safe.

Preparedness News -

1.From Jim Acosta - The Survival Mom - Harvesting Rainwater in Urban and Suburban Areas - The Survival Mom - I live in an apartment and can't store water. I live in a nice neighborhood and our HOA doesn't allow rain barrels. I don't want to make my neighbors mad by setting up a rain catchment system. I don't. I can't. Ask yourself a question. Bottom line. You will go without water if you don't plan for it. What is your choice? Figure it out.

2. From Linda Loosli - Food Storage Moms - 20 Ways to Utilize Blackout Curtains for Emergency Prepping - Food Storage Moms - If you don't have a plan or method to darken out your windows at night when you plan to burn lights or candles, you may as well put a sign in your yard with an open invitation to your front door.

3. From Tom Marlowe - New Life on a Homestead - How Warm Should I Keep My Baby Chicks? • New Life On A Homestead - The question in the title is a question I often read and hear with folks starting to introduce chickens.

4. From Melissa K. Norris - Medicinal Herb Garden (Planning and Growing) - Melissa K. Norris (melissaknorris.com) - Have you noticed how many sick people are around us right now?

5. From Prep School Daily - Prep School Daily: How to Distill Water - Water, water, water, and more water. Wonder why I keep putting so much information in the newsletter about water? Hmmm. Maybe because you must have it to live.

Prayers - Please keep our great nation, our elected leaders, military and first responders in your thoughts and prayers. We pray for good health and wisdom. Please pray for our leadership to find answers and guidance to the problems facing our great nation. May your faith remain strong and answers to the unknown provided. God is good and may our prayers blanket and protect you and your circumstances. I pray for each, and every one of our Patriots.

Our HFS family has many prayers needs for health and moral. We love you all and continue praying for each of you.

May we pray for all the blessings and things in life to be thankful about and continued hope for revival around the world. We must continually pray for the unsaved, our family and friends who live each day without the protection for eternal life and salvation.

As Patriots we must stay strong and never give up. Our home, community, and nation need us now more than ever. Stay focused on your local community and things that will impact you around the nation. Don't allow the events around you to create fear in your life. Build your own self-reliance and focus on faith and hope. Remember we are a blessed nation, and we must continue to be great people today and make a better tomorrow. Keep charging.

Blessings,

Bravo Echo Out,
