Greetings and welcome to the Patriot Express Newsletter Edition #269. Thanks for stopping by for this week's edition of the PENL. I hope you enjoyed a safe and blessed Memorial Day weekend. The nation is still enduring horrific storms with tornadoes and floods what seems like daily. Isn't it amazing how the cloud seeding seems to be in the same locations as the storms? Hmmm, just saying.
It has been a great week here on the home front. Anytime I get to spend time at home and with HFS Patriots stopping by for a visit, it's very good. A Patriot sister from the Cumberland Plateau stopped by for a few hours to visit and catch up with us. We then had a short notice burger and hot dog lunch here at our house and had eight neighbors join us for the afternoon. Six of the eight are HFS Patriots. Amazing how these things happen from a street conversation and folks want to get together. Why are these get togethers so important? Bonding with the people around you. It was a very relaxing time together which we enjoyed. My brother from another mother, Festus, stopped by at the first of the week for a few hours to chat and catch up on things we choose not to discuss via phones or computers. It was a great day and week. Thanks to everyone for sharing their time with us here on the home front.
Grandparents and parents, are you paying attention to what your government is getting ready to do? Yea, I know, this could be a loaded question with 1,000 different answers. Selective Service. Have you heard about this? Yes, there is a lot of movement to impose a digitalized registration process where your little Johnny will be automatically registered for the draft. At first it will be men only, however there is a national movement of males moving towards a transgender status to avoid the suspected draft. It will most likely turn to both males and females being registered. Take a look for yourself. Most of Europe and the United States are all moving towards a draft and/or a reengagement of conscripts which is a 12- or 24-month commitment to their nation. You may be asking why? How do you feel about your loved one being sent to defend Ukraine?

We, the people, needs to tow flatbed trailers to our nation's capital and hold trials and render punishment on live television. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. Preparedness - I grew sweet potatoes last year for the first time in a raised bed and was thrilled to harvest 68 lbs. last October. We pulled several out that was easily half the size of a football. Once they rested for about two weeks in a warm area, the color turned golden, and the taste was sweeter. They have kept well all winter and spring and still have a few remaining. We have this season's sweet potatoes planted and will harvest in late September.
