Greetings and welcome to the Patriot Express Newsletter Edition #279. Thanks for stopping by for this week's edition of the PENL. You could be doing many other things with your time, and we appreciate you spending it with us here on the HFS website. If it's a rainy day, grab you some biscuits and gravy and enjoy it while cruising through the newsletter.
We are about 90 days out from the November election if it happens. We now know the Democratic ticket at this point since the presumed presidential candidate has named her VP candidate. Wow, it's a doozy. Let me say this about her selection. Simply go look at the state of Minnesota for proof of how to deliver an agenda. It's not good but you will see he is not about talk and threats, he simply went forth and rolled out a far-left agenda which some call communist. If someone tells you it's good, ask them why Minnesota is the number one state for citizens fleeing to the state of Florida.
It was a busy week but a good week. I traveled to the Cumberland Plateau to spend several hours with Festus and another Patriot brother checking out a local event and then breaking bread together. One can't put a price tag on the importance of brotherhood and the conversations shared. On this day over lunch, we discussed preparedness and faith. It was a great day together. I had to expedite my departure since Ms. Lucy had made it clear I had to be home by 5 pm EST for another event. I rolled in to my driveway on two wheels at 4:50 pm. What I didn't know was a retirement dinner was set up with six of our dear neighbors who are also HFS Patriots. It was a great evening because I got to spend time with sisters and brothers bonding. The dinner closed with an awesome retirement cake that is my favorite, carrot cake. Yum, yum. I sure appreciate the time these fine friends took out of their Saturday evening to share with me and Ms. Lucy. Thank you. I then got to spend a few hours with a Patriot sister and brother on Wednesday morning and afternoon. I am so blessed. God is good. I love spending time together with the people I consider the closest to me.
We left on Sunday morning headed to West Virginia to do a surprise birthday party for a sister. We went to dinner and enjoyed time together and then went back to her home to surprise her with a beautiful cake. What I didn't know was it was a double surprise. A cake to surprise my sister and they surprised me with a retirement cake. So, we had a beautiful cake that was half birthday and half retirement. I don't know if that meant it was half the calories or not. It was delicious. The following morning, we met locally for breakfast. You got it, biscuits and gravy for me. Ms. Lucy and I got to share breakfast with all three sisters before heading back to East TN.
There is a possibility next week's PENL will be posted using the auto-post method at the regular time on Friday evening. Ms. Lucy and I will be heading up to Cincinati, OH tomorrow morning to catch a couple days of professional tennis matches and possibly a Cincinati Reds baseball game and then work our way over to Williamstown, Kentucky to check out the Ark Encounter. We hope to then swing through Monticello, KY to see our Patriot family.
Someone told me I may get bored with retirement.
Let us move along.
HFS New Affiliation with Aftershock Freeze Dried Foods - Do you still need to get prepared? Need long term food stock? Here you go. I have personally taste tested several of the freeze-dried products. GMO free and a choice between regular or Gluten free, I'm totally impressed with the quality and price of their products. Many of the other providers of dehydrated and freeze-dried foods left my fingers tingling and feeling a tad swollen. This was because of the sodium content. Not the case with Aftershock freeze-dried foods. Another great feature of Aftershock Preparedness meals is for a low price you get larger serving sizes in each bagged meal. For example, the Taco Rice Skillet was a serving size for five. The freeze-dried white chicken is a serving size for three, The Cajun Pasta Laya is a single serving. The prices are adjusted according to the serving size. They are 25- and 30-year shelf-life products depending on the product of choice. As an affiliate, if you use the following link, HFS will receive a small percentage of the purchase price which is great. The customer is getting a high-quality product and HFS receives a small payment to help financially support the HFS mission. It's a win all the way around. You can buy single packed meals, fruit, dairy, meat and vegetables, or you can buy the larger buckets with single packaged items in the bucket for easy storage. Use this link to get started.

We must make this brief public announcement to protect the innocent.
Ding, Ding, Ding....Attention HFS readers..... Opinions shared in this newsletter are just that, opinions, and nothing more. Read at your own risk. The owner and author of this site is not responsible for hurt feelings or thin-skinned readers. I do my best to show restraint and respect to the best extent possible. I take as many precautions as possible and try to remain as nonpolitical as possible, however, there are times when I just can't help but point certain things out. Occasionally I use words only Patriots recognize and understand. It's not personal against any non-Patriot. It's just the truth. Sometimes we must pull up our spenders and suck it up. Just saying. Stay the course, read what you want, and avoid the rest. Avoid fear porn as much as possible and the day will be okay. When all else fails… Keep the faith and always have Hope.
Thoughts for the week - Why is it so difficult?
One would probably think the nation is upside down and crazy because of the many problems we face. We can argue and debate why things are this way, who caused it, and a way to fix it. Agree? Laws, regulations, policies, training and education, moral and ethical minds, and a framework to ensure we identify and oust corruption early and often. What happened?
So often we get our hopes up when a good message comes from the mouth of a new up and coming figure who may be serving in the role of leadership. It could be political, law enforcement or the clergy. We cheer and clap to messages we like. But words are cheap and how the words are practiced matters most of all. Would you agree?
To be honest, I tend to believe this failure throughout our nation comes from a lack of training and understanding the basic foundation of our faith and laws of the land in our Constitution and Bill of Rights. As a person of faith, both clergy and the people who follow the clergy, Christians, simply read and follow the Bible. However, specifically it's a set of rules called the Ten Commandments. As a nation we are to live by, follow, and practice the Constitution of the United States and the Bill of Rights. Agree? I've often commented how our nation has gone over the cliff because we stopped following the important documents above. When those who we expect to know and understand these documents fail us and teach their version or no version of these documents the citizens fail to comply. Why? Because there is no accountability on either end, the clergy or the Christian, or the enforcer or the citizen. We may often here "you can't do that." But when asked why, the messenger can't tell you why or what founding documents directs it.
Festus sent me this awesome and powerful video this week and I wanted to share it with you to check out. Listen to it with your family. Share it with friends. It is well worth your time.
