Greetings and welcome to the Patriot Express Newsletter Edition #310 for August 2026.

Many folks are doing great things in the preparedness arena so don't miss out. I was hoping to return here to write the August newsletter and bring some improved news from around the world. Things just aren't getting better. On the bright side, you still have today to better your preparedness posture. Tomorrow could be different.

July was a scorcher but with lots of humidity and rain here in Eastern Tennessee. I can't remember in past years our trees and grass being so green going into August. We did have an abundance of blueberries and blackberries to enjoy. We picked pears last week and harvested squash, tomatoes, zucchini, and cucumbers from the garden and mowed lots of grass. A dry mold already set in on the spaghetti squash plant and wiped it out. We have a few watermelons growing, as well as our green beans. I encountered a problem with lots of grass growing in the raised beds from some Black Cow bagged compost I used this year. I like the raised bed concept, but I may take out the raised beds at the end of this season and go to a tilled garden. I should be harvesting the elderberries in August and hopefully have a crop of figs to pick from in the next few weeks.

Gardening is my "happy place" that takes my mind off all the negative events taking place around America and the world. So many things are in motion that will change the course of national and global history regarding how we live. Ten years ago when, before Hope for Survival, I used to teach preparedness classes and talk about the future and folks would give me the "that's crazy talk" look. I had lunch with Festus this past week and he asked me, "do you remember about ten years ago when we shared our thoughts on the future and people thought we must be crazy." I laughed and said yes. Ten short years later it's here. Just four years prior to the goal set by Agenda 2030. Are you ready?

We had a busy month with family in July. The biggest obstacle for me was the heat and humidity. I've lived and spent time in beach locations with high heat and humidity. From the gulf coast of Florida in Fort Walton Beach, FL to eastern North Carolina, from Guam to spending lots of time in Africa. It just seems the sun has more intensity today than back then. My body sends me a signal letting me know it's about to shut down if I don't get out of the heat. Yes, I'm older now but I stay hydrated and I'm aware of the temperatures, however things just seem different. Is it just me?

We spent the July 4th holiday at Lake Lure, NC with kids and grandkids. Then we brought our two youngest grandsons (8 and 10) back to East TN with us to go camping for a few days. Fishing, biking, cooking on the outside grill, and swimming filled their week. Ms. Lucy drove them to Folly Beach, SC to hand them off to their parents. She spent the week with family at the beach. She then brought our oldest granddaughter back to East TN for a week with us camping, SUP boarding, swimming, Dollywood, and lots of table games. We enjoy playing games with family and friends every chance we get. It's always a somber moment when the grandkids depart because as they age we see them less and less.

When we don't live near family, community and neighbor friends are important as we age. We spend lots of time with folks around us. We went on a camping trip with our friends who are neighbors. It was a joy to hang out and play games in the evenings. Community is important for many reasons but time together doing things you enjoy is near the top of the list.

One thing is for sure. I turned 65 this year and I used to say age is just a number on a piece of paper. Silly me. Now, having to accept that I can no longer do things to the level I once completed task, hasn't been easy. It's much easier to put things off to another day vs jumping in and completing the task now. My brother from another mother down in South Carolina often laughs and tells me, "If it can wait, do it tomorrow" and I think he is on to something.

P.S. Why is no one talking about all the Chinese males still crossing the southern border near San Diego?

Thoughts for the month - The moral decay of society

Oh my, where do I start.

I'm trying hard to keep grounded and focused on the most important priorities today. Faith, family and friends, country and preparedness. Every day is like standing on a moving foundation and priority targets are moving in the opposite direction It appears the development and implementation of AI, or Artificial Intelligence, is aboard and the government, corporations, and private citizens are jumping aboard faster than the Tik Tok, X, and other internet platforms. I hear preppers voicing fear of AI yet they as well are playing around with different AI offerings. Editors, song writers, picture creators, spread sheet development, software code writing and more. What's it going to be? You are either against it, or you are not.

About ten years ago I was doing research on several topics as I prepared a brief for a local detachment of the FBI in Huntsville, AL I was pulling information together on critical infrastructure and tying it to Federal Emergency Response and how it tied to local and state responders. During that period of research, I was also finding lots of information regarding the global race for internet dominance. It was estimated, at that time, China controlled 52% and the United States 48%. Whoever won the race would control the world the Internet of Things, future Artificial Intelligence, and what we knew little about then, Social Credit Scoring. Little did we know the United States was in development of the same program to eventually control and track society 100%. While we hear so many complaining about AI and the personal invasion of privacy. What no one is talking about is the future of warfare in space and the race to achieve space supremacy.

Did you hear any voices in Washington D.C. warn you about the surveillance state once the Patriot Act was passed. Noooo, it was to protect us and our freedoms. The question remains; will it stop at the deployment of the Data Centers (Global Brain) or continue to grow for achievement of the global race for world domination? It is moving at high speed to achieve quantum computing. This will bring both earth and space control and domination. It's almost here fellow Patriots.

While all of this is being worked at the highest levels, civilization is questionably breaking down to levels one could not have imagined. There is no longer a value placed on human life or human sanctity. What happened? We could talk about the removal of prayer from our school systems and many homes. Add the breakdown of the American home with single parenting. The number of American families with one or both parents in prison leaving children parentless living with relatives often. We often hear Americans referred to as being from generation x or y or z. If the American foundation and hard work, morals, integrity, and respect had been left in place, would we still have all the societal issues we face?

Think of how often we hear about citizen targeting by youth, gangs, hitmen on politicians and CEOs. What once happened on the movie screen is now happening at our local malls and neighborhoods. The value of human life is gone. Just remember, the respect and dignity part went out with the bathwater first.

Have you noticed the increase in the cheers of victory when a kid takes a life? How friends are circled around videotaping the beating or shooting of a innocent victim walking down the street or out of a grocery store or shopping mall? Shortly after the event the video shows up on a internet platform for acceptance and bragging rights. Across America the court system releases these juveniles and teens back on the streets to commit more crimes and cause havoc to law abiding citizens.

Did you notice the number or organizations and political groups who cheered when they learned of the Charlie Kirk death? It was a celebration of Charlie Kirks death. Another respected human being out doing good for the world and humanity. Yet, grown adults cheered because his voice was silenced simply because they didn't agree with what he stood for. Think of how fast the video of Charlie Kirk's assassination appeared on the internet. Part of a nation was paralyzed by the news and stuck to screens for more information. It reminded me of when 911 occurred.

I believe 30 years of warfare and gang games teaching competitors to excel at taking lives on video is a large culprit to this problem. Parents buy the games and grandparents gift their young grandchildren the games without knowing what the content is about. If Little Johnnie wants it, it must be okay. It's taking away from the sanctity of life and the moral fabric of humanity and surviving with respect and the confines of a moral society.

Another form of destruction that breaks down the human will to be a part of society is the use of social media tweets and posts that are more powerful than taking one's life through violence. Do you realize the number of children who participate on the internet behind closed doors when the parent is busy painting their nails, fixing dinner, or watching reality shows on television. Next thing you know the child has crossed the line and sent an embarrassing photograph to an unknown person who then begins the shaming process. The child sends more shameful pictures of their body and next thing you know the stranger begins to make fun of them and dares the child to hurt their body with a knife or razor. For many, death comes soon after. The child can't take it any longer when the stranger threatens to share the discriminating picture on the internet or with the child's parents.

Then vs now and the loss of a President and key figures in society through violence. You may remember it or have read about the deaths of John F. Kennedy, Robert Kennedy, Martin Luther King, and then attempts on President Donald Trump. Think about our nations reaction to these events. The nation stopped with JFK, Robert Kennedy and MLK died from assassination. It was on every television screen and front-page newspapers. Even when Republican President Ronald Reagan was shot and almost died, the nation stopped. The world watched. Now, think of our nations reaction when Donald Trump was shot in Butler, PA. Look at the difference in humanity and the mindset of our people over 60 short years.

One must seriously question the mindset of humanity. Humans are rapidly being dumbed down through the internet and media. With the dumbing down and breakdown of the family, the moral guardrails are down and people are going over the cliff one by one. Sadly, no one cares. Or do they?

As a parent or guardian, we must be the thermostat and not the thermometer in the room. We must get in the fight and step forward to educate and control the narrative to those who will listen. The death jabs changed the course of history, trust, and future. Death along with school and church shootings are the norm while the family continues to disintegrate before our eyes. It seems that our earthly life has little meaning any longer. On a bigger scale, we now must ask if our leaders will sacrifice American troops on the battlefield to justify a nuclear war. If this happens, how will humanity react and how many who didn't prepare will regret doing so. Will it even matter. If we are lucky, before this happens, I hope someone steps forward to tell us where all the Chinese men who crossed our borders illegally are now at. Just sayin.
