Greetings and welcome to the Patriot Express Newsletter Edition #306. Welcome to April 2026. Spring has arrived and it's a brisk 39 degrees here in Eastern Tennessee just outside the great Smokey Mountains. We have bees pollinating flowers and blueberry bushes while the leaves fill out the oaks and maples. The lake water is sparkling off the morning sunrise as our American flag whips in the cold breeze. It feels like 28 in real temperature. Its life today and I'm finding it easier and easier to escape to the natural world to avoid the craziness we are being bombarded with war, poverty, national division, economic issues, slanted media, and more. I said several years ago that the only thing we know to be fact is where we stand in our faith and state of preparedness. Standing on these beliefs helps me wade through the continued ocean of unknowns today and going forward.


We conducted the annual Hope for Survival March Madness donation drive through the month of March 2026. I want to thank each person who donated to help us pay the operation bills for 2026 and early 2027. Blessings to you. And to those who could not contribute, that's okay also. We just ask for you to keep HFS in your prayers through 2026. I will let you know next month how the numbers worked out in donations as some continue to arrive at the time of the PENL posting. As March winds down and this PENL goes to post HFS is about 68% towards the annual goal needed. We are blessed.


Ms. Lucy always tells people I'm in my happy place when I'm with HFS family. March was a good month for just that. We squeezed in a dinner in Waynesville, NC with three or our dear friends and then got to visit Carolina Readiness Supply to see Jan and Bill, owners of CRS to drop off a resupply of HFS books they carry. I sure do appreciate their willingness to offer my books to others. It was a great visit with them. I then had the honor of having Festus stop in for an overnight visit which afforded us more hours to visit and have good conversations on preparedness, faith, and the future of HFS going forward. Ms. Lucy prepared a great dinner for us to break bread together. During our visit with Festus, another local HFS brother stopped by and joined our chat. We got to sharpen iron together and time runs out too fast. We try to get together for breakfast every couple weeks to have our ROMEO (Retired old men eating out) rally to sharpen iron and fellowship. This month we even got to spend time with our HFS sister from the Nashville area, Doc, and pick her brain some on alternative medicines. In addition to the in person visits I got to get in some quality phone time with a few HFS sisters and brothers outside our community. It had been a while, but I got to cross paths and connect with our dear HFS family from northern, GA. And when a personal visit or phone call isn't possible, I get to communicate via email or text with many others. I enjoy getting to pick brains with my HFS brother in northern Alabama or my HFS sister in northern Alabama, or our HFS brother in central Kentucky. I am blessed indeed. Having many HFS family in our community affords us the opportunity to share time breaking bread, going to church with, and good ol house visits together.


Many HFS family members are working to better prepare their personal preparedness situations and they share stories and pictures with me on what projects they are working through the year. A hot topic these days is having or building a greenhouse. They come in so many sizes and variations these days. From a simple tiered tower inside, to a four-shelf system covered in a plastic sleeve. Others desire hoop houses or a solid greenhouse. One of our HFS sisters has been dreaming of a greenhouse and at last her dream has come to reality. She shared some pictures of the project as it nears completion. She has come a long with over the life of HFS in learning and living a preparedness lifestyle. Growing, canning, building GO bags to using a firearm are things she has tackled and now she has a greenhouse. I'm proud of her resilience to stay the course. Good job.

Occasionally I use words only Patriots recognize and understand. It's not personal against any non-Patriot. It's just the truth. Sometimes we must pull up our spenders and suck it up. Just saying. Thoughts for the month - We are being bamboozled


When a US citizen who paid in to Social Security dies and no beneficiary has been identified, the government retains all remaining cash. If children qualify as blood kin, why do they not have the right to receive the remaining funds since it belonged to a parent. How is this legal? If you are overpaid by the Internal Revenue, they immediately take the funds from your checking account. Health care, homeowners, property taxes, auto insurance, rates all continue to increase. Property value doubled for many during Covid which means your property taxes increased even if the true value is lower than the taxable value. Health insurance continues increasing when covered benefits are decreasing. The government told us during the Obama administration the increased cost covered those who couldn't afford healthcare. At the same time Big Pharma pocketed record proceeds. Auto insurance continues to climb yet when you go to file your first claim ever your insurance cost increases again. Imagine putting $100 a month in a bank and in ten, fifteen or twenty years, you go to take out half the save amount the bank tells you they will be assessing a charge against your remaining funds. Insurance companies use your monthly fee to invest and make money for the company. When a disaster occurs, they don't have the invested amount available to pay the damages to paying customers. The government then allows the company to raise your rates.


I read a few weeks ago, after the war with Iran started, how a fire aboard one of the US ships in the region. The War Department, formerly known as the Department of Defense, stated it was a fire started in the laundry room aboard the ship. Two weeks later the President stated the ship was struck by Iran from 17 different directions. So, which is true?


Gasoline in my local area increased about 40 cents in the past 30 days because of the war and slowdown in shipping oil from the Middle East. Huh? Wait a minute. The United States doesn't buy oil from the Middle East. Oil refined for American consumers comes from the US, Canada, and Venezuela. Then I read the US doesn't have enough refineries to process the amount of oil needed for consumer gasoline needs. So, tell me, how is it this happened after the war started? Are oil companies using the war to profit off the consumers who already made them billions?


The US military, funded at a trillion dollars annually, deploys some of the highest technological equipment in the world. You paid for it. Agree, support the war, or not, your tax dollars are funding the research, development, and deployment of this equipment. Don't forget, billions of dollars in equipment was left in Afghanistan by the Biden administration. We hear press conferences telling us how this equipment is crushing Iran's military defense capabilities. Destroying their Navy and Air Force and more. They are one knee being down from admitting defeat. Tell me, with all the high-tech capabilities being used by the US, how are so many Iranian drones equipped with bombs, avoiding radar and intercept? Billions in equipment unable to stop a $20,000 drone. Why? Most recently Prince Sultan Air Base, in Saudi Arabia was struck injuring ten US troops, two seriously. There was no alert or warning siren before the strike. The US lost several aircraft, one being a very critical airframe that manages battlefield movement. Why was it not relocated or moved further away from the capability of Iranian drones? This was the second strike on Prince Sultan Air Base.


I'm hearing conflicting voices talking about the increased food prices starting in May. Some say as much as a 6% increase. Making matters worse voices are talking about the coming famine in months ahead because farmers can't get needed fertilizers currently tied up in the Strait of Hormuz. A calf, pre-covid cost around $500. I was told this week that a calf runs about $2,200. Folks that is the calf. That is not raising the calf, butchering the calf, hanging cost and packaging at the butcher. If you like beef you better be buying it now. When you add the continued rise of food with the other mentioned cost above, how will Americans afford it?


Another lockdown? Yes, I'm hearing a lockdown of some degree is coming soon. Not because of violence (yet), or food shortages, or a virus. Nope. A lockdown may be coming due to an energy shortage. Manmade or not, nations around the world are already implementing measures leading to a lockdown. Four-day work weeks, public transportation, travel approved upon request and more. Folks, are you getting the picture? The question is, will Americans resist and fight back.


We live in this world where we don't matter from the view of the elite. Human elite see us as peons and our youth see tomorrow as a world of technology. Creations turning humans into brainless survivors depending on robots to take out our trash, wash our dishes, and play with our children while jobs are vanishing quicker than the numbers can total. This is important because the view of the elite is we are no longer needed. We are useless eaters dirtying up the world they live in and control. The world of us peons will be controlled by AI and cameras on every corner, store, and tracking your phone and automobiles while they last.


So here we are trying to survive each day with our own issues. How long will the American people watch the continued downfall and demise of our nation. I would like to say the world, however much of the world is already lost. Wars are now started and todays military are pawns to the decisions of the elite and globalist. Remember, these just peons dying for the wealth of the elite. Democrats are marching and paying their own pawns and puppets to dress like clowns and take $50.00 to stand and look stupid for a few hours in some city away from home. The Patriots are stocking up with guns and ammo to fight a war they will likely miss because they aren't willing to go past their mailbox. Who needs rules or laws when there is no enforcement of justice from the top down. Don't pay your parking ticket fine and see what happens. An illegal in American commits a felony crime and walks free.


Remember this, prior to the Iran war many discussions included a collapse of America. Ask yourself, what has improved. We can make excuses for every decision made from our government but nothing has changed. Face it sisters and brothers, we have not faced anything of this nature in our lifetime.


I heard recently the vocalist singing the opening day National Anthem for the New York Mets forgot the lyrics. Twenty years ago, this would be a major story. Today, no one seems to care. When a war becomes a competition to see who has the largest bombs vs the challenge of achieving objectives and coming home, the reality becomes survival. The current view of America reminds me of the first part of movie series The Hunger Games.


Keep your chin up and be hopeful. Our faith is as important today as ever before.

Don't allow the events around you to create fear in your life. Build your own self-reliance and focus on faith and hope.
