Life has been busy since the last PENL posting. The good news is travelling also included opportunities to meet and break bread with Hope for Survival sisters and brothers along the journey. We had the opportunity to spend time with 12 HFS members in Crossville, TN. Folks from Monticello, KY, Deer Lodge and Crossville, TN. Then after a stop in Franklin and Nashville, TN, we headed down to Huntsville, AL for a speaking engagement with the AL Eagle Forum. We had the opportunity to go for coffee (cake for a few) after the event with six HFS members.
In between all the first few trips I managed two trips to Carolina Readiness Supply to visit our dear friends Jan and Bill. Only HFS folks would understand when I state "going to CRS is like going home" in so many ways. I like to think of it as our hub.
After returning home for a week to focus on finishing the garden transition, we hit the road again headed for Roswell, GA (near Atlanta) to visit family. I had the opportunity to spend a few hours with HFS brother Otis and then lunch with another HFS brother outside the Chattanooga area on my way back to East TN.
I have shared this before and it remains the case to date. Spending time with HFS family from state to state, community to community is wonderful. Just hanging out catching up on faith, family and preparedness planning and projects. It's the best. I'm finding as I age, the value of friendship and quality time is more important. Pick your friends wisely.
Maybe the case could be made that we tend to stay near home and with people we trust as our surrounding environment appears threatened. World Wars, Tariffs, fuel and food cost, civil disorder and a political disease that seems to be spreading daily. The "this could never happen in America" mentality has gone from basic belief to a mental disease preventing many from the realization America has changed and will likely never return to the good days of the past.
I could list all the reasons and faults, but I don't think it matters any longer. When a national government rewards bad behavior, bad morals, bad work ethic, bad integrity, replacing the man of the home with more money for more babies, the mom with three jobs is replaced by juvenile crime and pregnancies. You see, the fix for our problems is restoring our nation to a nation of faith, patriotism, and family values. Until then....hang on.

The owner and author of this site is not responsible for hurt feelings or thin-skinned readers. I do my best to show restraint and respect to the best extent possible. I take as many precautions as possible and try to remain as nonpolitical as possible, however, there are times when I just can't help but point certain things out. Occasionally I use words only Patriots recognize and understand. It's not personal against any non-Patriot. It's just the truth. Sometimes we must pull up our spenders and suck it up. Just saying. Stay the course, read what you want, and avoid the rest. Avoid fear porn as much as possible and the day will be okay. When all else fails… Keep the faith and always have Hope.
Thoughts for the month - Short and sweet...to the point
I'm going to be as positive as possible in this month's thoughts for the month....and it's not very positive.
If you have paid attention to the theme of this newsletter you probably noticed a lot of information regarding threats to our nation, both natural and manmade. I'm not a fear monger nor one who wants to stand on the preach box and shout fire, fire, fire. Not going to do it. One can continue to trust the system, but.....
What I want to say to you hear, right now, loud and clear, is I'm fairly convinced nothing is going to change and we all better take it to heart quickly because time is running out and there will not be a last call for whatever it is you drink.
I wanted to believe this term with a new administration would be different. Yes, it is better than the last one hands down. What I am saying is the disdain for the current President within our own elected government, much of our nation, and the world, want him to fail which means us to fail and live with the consequences. If this ship can even be redirected and corrected, it is going to be very painful, and many will most likely fall overboard and not get rescued.
You can tell me all the great things being done in Washington and I'm going to tell you show me the results of the actions. Yes, it takes time. But even GOP elected officials are turning on the President. Shame on them. Many areas in the world, and our nation are chaotic, and other areas appear approaching the level of chaos.
We watch and wait to see action and positive movement to overcome things from a national level and our government. Think about it, not even our elected officials from either party has stood on the nation's capital steps to warn the citizens of the danger ahead. They only take time to bash the other political party. Who created our national debt? Who passed laws to allow the constant freak shows around America? Who has failed to recognize threats to Christians around the world and America? Who has refused to allow states to decide on their own system of education and on their own destroyed what was once a top 5 education system in the world? Who has funded and allowed our colleges and universities to no longer focus on reading, writing, math, history, and skills vs political agendas and anti-Americanism? Look at recent rulings by the Supreme Court. Look at what is happening in our District Court rulings. Who is responsible for stripping parental authorities from the parents to support the brainwashing and mutilation of juvenile bodies.
These are all high-level problems that we, as citizens, can't fix. These are problems created over a period of years for the most part. Foreign entities are using our laws against our government and the American way of life. How is it that in America we have neighborhoods and areas controlled and ruled under Sharia Law and not under the US Justice System? The same government who wrote laws after 911 and called them the Patriot Act in order to better protect our way of life are the same government who allowed millions to cross our southern border, breaking federal laws and then paying undocumented trespassers thousands of dollars per month from the Social Security account at the same time Americans are living in tents six months after Hurricane Helene.
Until we return our nation to the basics of faith and family we will fail. Look at the status of our home structure today and the past 30 years. Look at our communities and local politics and the corruption at the local level. Think back to the Covid period and the number of parents hauled out of and/or arrested at local school board meetings for stepping up to voice opposition. Take a hard look at the number of local churches no longer preaching the Gospel and now they jump on the 501C3 wagon, build bigger, and refuse to address current issues in the world. The choir sounds great, the preacher smiles and spreads love, and everyone loves all the pizza parties and youth programs.
We live in the world's most porn producing, pedophilia practicing, and child trafficking nation on the planet. I have spent over 40 years in the security and law enforcement field and as time passes, more and more people are ducking their heads and refusing to face the facts. We now have multiple generations of males who desire to be females. We lack leaders in our homes and communities.
You tell me why so many are focused and placing full faith the current President will fix all these problems. Christians tell me the President is their hope to fix all these problems yet refuse to live by scripture and turn problems over to the Lord.
We must have faith and hope, but we also must have common sense and recognize the Titanic is in lost waters with a distracted Captain guiding us ahead. You decide for yourself.

Prayers - Please keep our great nation, our elected leaders, military and first responders in your thoughts and prayers. We pray for good health and wisdom. Please pray for our leadership to find answers and guidance to the problems facing our great nation. May your faith remain strong and answers to the unknown provided. God is good and may our prayers blanket and protect you and your circumstances. I pray for each, and every one of our Patriots.
Our HFS family has many prayers needs for health and positive uplifting. We love you all and continue praying for each of you.
May we pray for all the blessings and things in life to be thankful about and continued hope for revival around the world. We must continually pray for the unsaved, our family and friends who live each day without the protection for eternal life and salvation.
Please continue praying for the survivors of the Hurricane Helene disaster, the California wildfires, and the recent floods in Kentucky, Tennessee, West Virginia, and Virginia. They have many needs and a long haul ahead to recovery.
As Patriots we must stay strong and never give up. Our home, community, and nation need us now more than ever. Stay focused on your local community and things that will impact you around the nation. Don't allow the events around you to create fear in your life. Build your own self-reliance and focus on faith and hope. Remember we are a blessed nation, and we must continue to be great people today and make a better tomorrow. Keep charging.
