 Greetings and welcome to the Patriot Express Newsletter Edition #297. Thanks for stopping by for this month's edition. It is July 2025. Thanks for being here and checking out the PENL. Thanks for your continued support.

In just a few days we celebrate Independence Day or mostly known in America as the 4th of July celebration. Many of our younger generations missed out on what America's celebrations used to be with parades, baseball games, cookouts in the parks, festivals and carnivals and lots of grilled hotdogs, hamburgers, and brats. It was all about red, white, and blue. We didn't have anyone protesting or trying to hurt others. I think back often to childhood and getting to see cousins from another state during this time. Water hose fights and chasing one another trying to spit watermelon seeds on the other. Everything typically culminated around dark with some fireworks provided by the community or as simple as sparklers in the back yard. It was a celebration of family and friends on America's day. In our home we still try and do much of the same but mostly with likeminded friends since our family lives in other states. Our friends are like family and it's just as special.

The America of old is changing so fast it's really hard to recognize. More and more people protest, and shout hate for America and all she offers. Evidently when the Berlin wall came down the unhappy people didn't see which direction people ran when the path was clear through the downed wall. I would dare them to go to many countries around the world with their parrot hair colors and styles and start marching in the streets demanding more.

I spend many hours deep in thought about America and remember the wonderful times and great memories of the past. It was these exact thoughts that led me to volunteer to serve this great land for 20 years and another 20 years as a contractor supporting our nation. I can still hear the voice of President Ronald Reagan talking about freedom. I listen to this clip often because it reminds me that freedom wasn't and isn't free and we still must be ready to defend our great nation.

Wow. June was an awesome month and continues to be busy. We had an amazing trip to Seattle and Alaska mid-month. Ms. Lucy says she checked the block, and I said I could have gotten off the boat and stayed. Ha. Ha. I don't want to bore you with my excitement but floating through the waterways viewing the mountains and glaciers was breath taking. The ship deck was covered in tourist, and it was silent, Wide eyes and opened mouths taking in the beautiful landscape that man has yet to destroy. This was some of God's finest work indeed. Once time permits, I will put together a collage of videos from Alaska on the HFS YouTube channel. Visiting Alaska was also great for me because it was my 50th state of 50 that I have been blessed to see in my lifetime. I owe a big thanks to "Ms. Lucy" for putting the awesome Alaskan trip together.

We had stops in Juneau, Ketchikan, and Skagway as well as floating Glacier National Bay and then stopped in Victoria, Canada on the way back to Seattle.

We visited the Tongass National Forest which is the largest temperate rainforest in the world. Within a region that has few nights below freezing through the year and minimal to no snow. There are no venomous critters in Alaska. The tour through the rain forest was educational and exciting to learn. We even learned about skunk grass which is an important feeder through the rain forest for deer, bears, and squirrels. During our outing in Skagway, Alaska we ventured out of town aboard a tour bus to higher elevations to the US and Canadian border to see beautiful snow caps and mountains. Folks who live in Skagway have to venture two hours one way to the nearest grocery store. It was also interesting in Juneau, the Alaskan capitol, where the only way to travel to Juneau is by air or boat. There are no direct roads into the city.

I do want to include the two-day visit to Seattle before getting on the cruise ship. I was very reluctant to do much time in Seattle. You know, the left of bang thing. Don't go messing with the hornets' nest. I had spent time in Seattle 25 years ago and am aware of all the problems and liberal government in the city. Aside from walking up on a drug deal taking place on the street and a escalating gang situation on main street, Seattle was beautiful and very nice. I don't know if enforcement pushes problems out of the tourist area along the waterfront or not. We did not see any gang/drug related action in these areas. The biggest thing noticed was hardly anyone spoke English. The workers and tourist appeared Asian and Middle Eastern except for our Uber driver who was from Ethiopia. The vast culture in Seattle would be attractive for many. Gasoline was just under $5 per gallon.

Ding, Ding, Ding....Attention HFS readers..... Opinions shared in this newsletter are just that, opinions, and nothing more. Read at your own risk. The owner and author of this site is not responsible for hurt feelings or thin-skinned readers. I do my best to show restraint and respect to the best extent possible. I take as many precautions as possible and try to remain as nonpolitical as possible, however, there are times when I just can't help but point certain things out. Occasionally I use words only Patriots recognize and understand. It's not personal against any non-Patriot. It's just the truth. Sometimes we must pull up our spenders and suck it up. Just saying. Stay the course, read what you want, and avoid the rest. Avoid fear porn as much as possible and the day will be okay. When all else fails… Keep the faith and always have Hope.

Thoughts for the month - These thoughts are coming together and forming over the past few weeks but they haven't reached a conclusion yet for me.

The more time passes the more betrayed I feel. The more time passes, and I keep digging into history, the more I am finding how leaders and elected officials failed military missions over the years and our tax paying citizens. The more time passes, the more I'm convinced that many of our elected officials hate "we the people" as much as the brain washed socialist marching in the street. The millions of dollars padding their pockets is cutting off the oxygen going to their brain. We continue being sold out and then lied to about it. The higher the debt grows the more the lies flow. In a sense, "we the people" are being suffocated equally with the debt because it is our problem and we allowed it to happen every four years.

Typically, I am a happy positive person daily with optimistic views. I have so much to be thankful for and waking up each day is such a blessing for me. I love God. I love my country. I love my family and friends. I love the opportunities around me. I love helping my community and church as much as possible. I love coming here to write thoughts and share with anyone willing to read.

But,

I'm finding a part of me is growing angry over the fact that people claiming to represent us continues lying and taking advantage of us. I'm growing angry over the incompetence witnessed almost each time I leave my home and go in the public square. Children and young adults who can't read or write yet got pushed through a school system and released to life. Humans having sex and producing unwanted children and dumping them on their parents to raise. A nation that pays entertainers far more money than what is paid to the President of our nation and the doctors and surgeons assigned to keep him alive. We have a political party that supports and funds abortions yet if a pregnant woman is killed by a robber or drunk driver the same party supports the death penalty. Huh? One day is not a living being inside the womb and the next day it is?

I was in a store recently wanting to purchase a single piece of furniture that was on sale. The clerk told me he didn't have any more in the back warehouse, but I could order it online. While still in the store we go online, find the furniture and its $20 higher. The clerk had walked off from us at this time. I go find the clerk and ask if he can help us buy the furniture online for the same price and he said no. I then asked if he would be getting any more in through shipment and he said he would check. He walked away and went over to Ms.; Lucy and told her I was angry. I simply stated the website represented the same store and the price should be the same. I wanted to tell him I was angry because I don't enjoy standing in a professional store wanting to do business and the clerk has his pants down like low riders and couldn't form complete thoughts. I don't say this to sound or be mean, but is the hiring pool today this desperate for workers?

Folks, it is getting worse and being accepted. This was no accident. The global elites want a thankless society who are followers and can't think on their own. I hope someday soon you understand how "everyone gets a trophy" and "no one gets an F" has destroyed our society. And, remember back in the 1980s when California tried to pass a bill making Ebonics the official language? How did they work out for us? Yea, not so good. Just remember, how many people we know, to include friends and family, who defended their children on this journey and today, well, they are crying and wondering what happened.

If you think it is bad so far, just wait for another 10 years. Evil has its hands on our nation and all that we love, yet our churches and Christian sisters and brothers are silent for the most part.

Please pray for our leadership to find answers and guidance to the problems facing our great nation. May your faith remain strong and answers to the unknown provided. As Patriots we must stay strong and never give up. Our home, community, and nation need us now more than ever. Stay focused on your local community and things that will impact you around the nation. Don't allow the events around you to create fear in your life. Build your own self-reliance and focus on faith and hope. Remember we are a blessed nation, and we must continue to be great people today and make a better tomorrow. Keep charging.
