Patriot Express Newsletter Edition #80

Fellow Patriots,

Welcome to the Patriot Express Newsletter (PENL) Edition #80. Wow. Can you believe it? Eighty straight Saturdays. Rain or shine. Donuts, bagels, eggs, and bacon. The PENL has arrived on time without fail. I suppose it is crazier to me than you because you don't always know everything taking place on my end that sometimes creates obstacles to make this happen on time for 80 weeks. Its a funny kind of insanity. Regardless, I appreciate you stopping by to spend a few minutes to check out the weekly version of the PENL. One thing I have learned in the past 80 weeks is one can't always make the masses happy and squirrels make good friends.

Last week I posted the PENL from East TN on my way down to Atlanta and on over to Huntsville. Sooo, why be normal. This week I will be headed back over to GA with stops in Calhoun and Adairsville and then back to Huntsville and then on over to East TN for a few days. I'm starting to feel like a Georgia resident. Not such a bad thing.

If you are a guest or newcomer to the HFS journey, please check out this link for additional information offered through HFS. I have removed the weekly newcomer information and guest guide and the link takes you to an article I just posted for all this information to welcome and help you take advantage of all the HFS information and material provided. I have added this feature to allow PENL regular readers less text to wade through weekly and it shortens the overall PENL product several pages of text.

Thursday Zoom Rallies – HFS continues the Thursday HFS Zoom Virtual rallies weekly. We completed week 28 with a great Zoom meeting. In order to catch the Presidential Debate at 9 PM EST, we focused entirely on completing the group project of completing the Preparedness Top 10 Items checklists. This has been productive but a lot of fun working together as a group to identify resources and needs for the checklist items. A big thanks to the group for taking part in this project.

If you have interest in attending a Thursday evening “Hope for Survival” Zoom virtual rally event please email me at to get on the distribution list for attendance information. This is a great group and platform to learn and build friendships. The virtual conference room access information will not be posted in open on the website for OPSEC reasons.

Special Guest - Steven Bird - Former Naval Aviator, current pilot, author and Homesteader will appear as special guest on Zoom Rally # 29, October 29th, 2020 starting at 705 PM EST. Steven will answer a series of question, interview style, on homesteading, projects, family, and where he sees the nation headed. We are happy to have Steven join us. Stop by and check it out.

Special Training Event - Hope for Survival will be on the road providing on site preparedness training October 25, 2020 in Calhoun, Georgia. The training starts at 8 am through 5 pm. Lunch will be provided on site. The training will consist of Risk Analysis and Management, Family Communication Planning, Preparedness 101 (self) and 102.(team). This training is indoors. If you are interested and would like to attend this training please send me an email and I will connect you with the host of this event. If you would like to attend the training via SKYPE virtually I need to know ASAP. Send me an email to and state your wishes to attend and I will get you on the list.

Moving along …

We must make this brief public announcement to protect the innocent.

Ding, Ding, Ding...."Attention HFS readers..... Opinions shared in this newsletter are just that, opinions, and nothing more. Read at your own risk. The owner and author of this site are not responsible for hurt feelings or thin-skinned readers. I do my best to show restraint and respect to the best extent possible. I take as many precautions as possible and try to remain as nonpolitical as possible, however, there are times when I just can't help but point certain things out. Sometimes we must pull up our spenders and suck it up. Just saying. Stay the course, read what you want, and avoid the rest. Avoid fear porn as much as possible and the day will be okay.) When all else fails… Keep the faith and always have Hope."

Let’s move along and get to some thoughts...

Thoughts for the week

As we close in on the moment many of us have been planning and watching, I would encourage you to focus on your plans and ensuring they are ready. Make any adjustments, as needed, to events that could take place in your vicinity. Things may have changed since your last review and walk through of the plan. Any changes to roads or bridges? Are your batteries in good shape or have they been in boxes or equipment for months? How about your team members. Are they all still available or has one or two moved away? Are you planning to bug out? Are the routes to your bug out location still the same? Any detours or route changes? Are your family members still in the same health as when you built your plans? How about children and pets? Did you plan for them as well? Has your town or city leadership changed from conservative to liberal where an incident may not go in your favor if presented to a court of law? Do you still have a set amount of cash available or did you maybe spend some of it along the past months? Do you need to secure some plywood panels to block your windows from thrown projectiles if needed? Have you considered removing yard signs from your yard, if applicable, showing your support to either political party? What have you done to blend in and not make your home a target? If you park in the driveway, do you have political stickers visible from the street? If so and you haven't removed them, park with your bumper to towards the house out of view from the street. Have you conducted mental drills in your head to the "what if" scenarios? What if you walk from a store in to a riot. What is your plan? What if you are on an interstate and it becomes blocked and the riots go car to car looking for political decals or reasons to target you? Do you blend in or are you a soft target? You get the point?

Harden your target if you haven't already. Don't set yourself up. Remember, think outside the box and be left of bang. Don't make yourself an easy identifiable target to any potential threats. Always know your potential threats and enemies to the best of your ability. Don't have fear but be on alert always. YOU want to control the information and circumstances involving you and your loved ones. Know when and how to pull the plug and adjust your circumstances as needed. Remember, 90% of preparedness is awareness.

NEWS ALERT: The 2020 Presidential election is around the corner and the craziness is getting faster and bigger. Did you know that? The voices of chaos and confusion grows and they echo the same message. The Democrats plan to disrupt and create mass disruption starting around November 3rd. What is the truth? Who knows. But what I do know is my focus on staying outside the box and being left of bank is in the cross hairs of my focus. That's right. Sure I care what happens. But I always ask myself what is my personal response to each possible action by the adversary. Complete self-reliance, as well as adapt, adjust, and overcome in the proactive role. Catch that? In the proactive role. This means staying outside the threat box and focused on your priorities vs the events happening daily. This is important.

No one knows what is going to happen each day going forward. I repeat no one. But we can use our imagination to the point of making ourselves crazy. Nuts as a matter of fact. Keep your train on the track and your hands on the information. Avoid fear porn and topics that push you to the edge of panic. Remember, YOU have to be in control.

You may have read this document or maybe not. This is being circulated around the internet and making stops at many locations. Some pro and some con. If you have a few minutes you may want to check this out. This is suggested as the radical Democratic play book going in to the 2020 election. Time will tell.

Are you paying attention? Your voice and views are being deleted, controlled, and manipulated by the hour. The threats are now being delivered on. The Drudge Report is now and has been left leaning for some time. Fox News now leaning more left. Over 25 alternative preparedness sites deleted without warning from YouTube. Facebook, Twitter and other social platforms deleting or controlling the message from the right. Get that? Not the left. The right. Two weeks prior to the election and the social cleansing continues because your voiced message has been deemed wrong. Hate speech. Racist. What other category can they place us in? Time will tell. Like I have said for a long while, when you can no longer find your message where will you go for information? As it was believed to occur, voices are being silenced and information could slow to a stop. What alternative sources for information have you established in your "one is none, two is one, and three is better" concept? If you haven't, you have about two weeks to figure it out.

I was talking to a Patriot brother this week who seemed disheartened because of the unwillingness of fellow neighbors and local men to decide on being ready to take a stand or position to what they stand for. Beyond this point, the unwillingness to even put forth the effort to do some degree of preparedness to protect their family. Those of us who prepare for any and all possible threats, natural, manmade or technological, put forth the effort to help others the best we can. There comes a point where you have to step back and realize some people just don't get it. That is fine. Just remember it will be these same men and family members who failed to heed the warning and take appropriate steps as needed. This is where we may have to make a choice. Feed our families or feed our community taking away from our family. Have you decided what you will do? You better think about it and decide soon because the hour will arrive very soon.

No matter what happens in the 2020 Presidential election, don't be disheartened and stay focused on your plan. What is taking place in your five mile radius to your home. No matter who is the victor in the election, there will be many who are disgruntled and upset. Have a plan to steer clear of problem areas and be vigilant to your home area and surroundings. Don't set yourself up to be a target. There will not be time to boast or sulk. We all must remain on our A game and have the mental and physical ability to adjust quickly to any changing environment. Win or lose, the left has made it clear they wish to cause pain and destruction to those who support the current administration. Though the titles and belief of us all being racist and haters isn't true, it doesn't mean we won't be targets of aggression from other groups.

We all are Americans before any political affiliation. Many of us are people of faith and believe and trust in a higher being and power. Even though we live our life according to scripture to the best of our ability, there may come a time when we must stand up for what we believe and to defend the beliefs and our foundation as it was laid out for us 200 plus years ago. Our forefathers fought and died for the same documents and principles we stand on today. Each of us should have already decided what is the final line, if crossed, we will stand and defend our beliefs and foundation. We have had countless conversations in the past months on this topic and hopefully by now you have given it prayer and thought to decide where you stand. You may be alone and have to decide this on your own without group influence. Are you capable of making this decision and can you do it? Will you put your life on the line for what you believe in? Time is running out to figure it out.

I want to shout a big "congrats" to our Sister and Brother Patriots over in North GA for their success and continued success in canning meat. They are rolling now and watching the quarts and pints accumulate on their shelves. Seeing all the effort, jar by jar, quality protein, stocked is like putting money in savings for the future. Keep it up and enjoy the fruits of your labor from time to time. I have told you previously and want to tell you again how proud I am of you. No sand bags needed. Stop and reflect on all the ground you have gained the past 12 to 18 months. Just a side note to this topic, Ms. Lucy fixed beef stroganoff for dinner using canned beef from 2014. Yum yum. Gotta love pressure canned beef.

Okay, lets move along to the news…

Preparedness News

1. From Robert Richardson - Off Grid Survival - Fear! Destructive. Unhealthy. Panic. Costly. Leads to poor planning and execution.. Separates family members and friends. Deadly. Is there anything else we should include as a result of stress? I have worked with highly skilled professionals who are trained to thrive under stress. They are trained. There's few positive results from planning and operating under stressful situations for those who are not trained professionals. Simple right? Stressed. Not stressed. Stressed. Not Stressed. How do we know? Great question. Monitor and watch those close to you for personality changes. Hot and cold responses. Short and abrupt. How does the person treat those closest to him/her? These are important things to know and keep on your radar. If tensions and threats start increasing the fear meter will peg out. "Danger-Danger, Will Rogers" .

We all must monitor and pay close attention to those around us and be ready to react/respond in each case.

2. From Rusty - True Prepper - - This is another area often forgotten until the last minute. I have heard "kids are resilient. Kids are tough. Kids will adjust." Yea, I have heard it all or close to it. Did you notice one quote missing? I wasn't hearing anyone saying "kids are human." From the vey start we must include kids and animals. Food, water, transportation, communicating the plan to ensure adaptability. Imagine, mom, dad, four kids under the age of six, and two dogs. Hmmm. That is a lot of food, water, and resources. Who is going to carry the bags for kids who must be carried? Don't forget the kids. Plan appropriately.

3. From Survival Cache - - As we move to the unknown each day going forward, many new folks are starting from scratch in their preparedness planning. This is a good thing. This link has some good information for beginner preparers. Don't slow down.

Other News

1. From Brandon Smith - Alt-Market.US - - As we approach the 2020 Presidential election which is less than two weeks ago, we face many uncertain things that could impact us. Leadership. Taxes. Jobs and unemployment..... The author BS offers a good opinion on his view of the path ahead.

2. From John Yoo and Robert Delahunty - American Mind - - Yea, what happens if no one wins the Presidential election based on total vote count? Have you ever considered it? The authors provide some good historical data that I never really provided much thought to how close the actual vote count was. I did follow percentages but not actual numbers.

3. From Tyler Durden - Zero Hedge - - Have you figured it out the cheese trail connecting the Biden's to the Chinese? Check out this article. Very well put together.

Drum roll...........

That's all my Patriot brothers and sisters. Stay alert and strong.

Prayers - Please keep our great nation, our elected leaders, military and first responders in your thoughts and prayers. As we approach the Nov 2020 elections, we must pray for a calm nation and focus on the purpose of the election and what the results of the election could mean, both candidates. Please pray for our leadership to find answers and guidance to the problems facing our great nation as we approach our election. May peace be cast upon us and protect us as we vote. I pray for each, and every one of our Patriots. May we all be protected from the growing evils surrounding and attacking our families daily. Please pray for our sister Patriot in NC who awaits a surgery date to repair a shoulder from a fall she suffered while on vacation. May we pray for all the blessings and things in life to be thankful about and continued hope for revival around the world. We pray thanks for the continued recovery of our Patriot brother in Huntsville, AL who continues to recover from a terrible accident in the spring. We must continually pray for the unsaved, our family and friends who live each day without the protection for eternal life and salvation. Amen.

Keep charging and have a safe week. Always remember, we are blessed people. Don’t allow the events around us to create fear in your life. Build your own self-reliance and focus on hope. We are a blessed nation and we must continue to be great people.
