Patriot Express Newsletter Edition #169

Greetings and welcome to the Patriot Express Newsletter Edition #169. Thanks for stopping by to spend a few minutes with us. We hope you are healthy, blessed, and doing great considering all the crazy stuff taking place around the world. HFS appreciates you and your time. Enjoy your visit with us.

I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the HFS family for your continued messages, cards, and support in the passing of my dad. As I work through the numerous steps required when a loved one passes, I occasionally stop to reflect on the man behind the dad title and when the emotions are heaviest it seems a card arrives in the mail or a text or email lands. Thank you for your kind words and referenced scripture to lean on to help getting through this period. You are all awesome friends who I consider part of my family. Thank you.

It is July and the year is half over. Things continue getting worse around the nation and world. Threats here, threats there, threats everywhere. Less food, higher fuel, shelves less stocked, more citizens bailing from liberal states and cities. We still have good people refusing to believe things are getting worse. Heck, some will argue we are paranoid for being responsible leaders of our family and communities. Have any of you noticed the number of Corporate CEOs speaking out to listeners on their concerns over the coming national problems? This isn't a Democrat or Republican problem. This is a problem for the citizens, you and me. Depression. Recession. Shortages and limited cash availability, seems to be their warning. I wonder if these same people would pay a quarter to go in the tent with never before witnessed exotic animals. Sometimes it is easier to plant the seed and let them decide or not to water the preparedness seed. One thing we can all hold close is our faith, hope, and mindset that many of us took steps along the way to be better prepared for things such as what we are going through now and possibly ahead.

It's always a great week when I get to cross paths with fellow HFS Patriots. Ms. Lucy and I had the pleasure of having a wonderful dinner with two of our local Patriots during the past week. It was wonderful spending time together and discussing faith and preparedness over a fantastic meal. Transplanted from a woke state, it's good to have them in our community and a part of HFS. Time together and bonding is great and so is bonding with like-minded Patriots. We also got to briefly speak with four additional Patriots during church changeover. Amen for another blessed week.

I had the chance to talk with one of our Patriot sisters from a Midwestern location and it is always uplifting to hear her humor and happy spirit while discussing preparedness and issues we all seem to face along the path. She could be telling me she fell from a tree and rolled a mile down a hill, which would be painful for most of us. She fills her story with flare and laughter with each roll and tumble. Keeping a happy spirit through this journey is healthy and an important aspect we should try to include daily.

Happy Independence Day fellow Patriots. I hope you enjoy a day of. rest with family and maybe you will get to check out a local parade. I hope your day includes some apple pie and fireworks to end your day. It is sad how we lost the meaning of so many holidays over the years. Do you celebrate Independence Day the way you did as a child?

Here is one of my favorite historic videos to watch about our Independence Day.

Isn't Old Glory beautiful?

Ding, Ding, Ding....Attention HFS readers..... Opinions shared in this newsletter are just that, opinions, and nothing more. Read at your own risk. The owner and author of this site is not responsible for hurt feelings or thin-skinned readers. I do my best to show restraint and respect to the best extent possible. I take as many precautions as possible and try to remain as nonpolitical as possible, however, there are times when I just can't help but point certain things out. Occasionally I use words only Patriots recognize and understand. It's not personal against any non-Patriot. It's just the truth. Sometimes we must pull up our spenders and suck it up. Just saying. Stay the course, read what you want, and avoid the rest. Avoid fear porn as much as possible and the day will be okay. When all else fails… Keep the faith and always have Hope.

Let’s move along and get to some thoughts...

Thoughts for the week - Relax. Pull up a chair and let me share some thoughts with you about my amazing week. If you see a typo or lost comma, forgive me but I'm focused more on telling you the truth.

There seems to be a lot of things I could share in my thoughts this week. When I really think about it and allow myself to not keep busy, my brain goes to spin cycle and let me tell you, if I don't keep my pockets full of pennies to anchor me down, I end up someplace mentally that will probably get me in trouble. I was doing my morning skimming of my favorites sites and one that caught my attention pretty much sums it up to where we are today. It was a missing person alert for a teen in Toronto, Canada. She was 5' 7", brown hair, blue eyes, and about 150 pounds. Her name was something like Rochelle. I scrolled to the bottom to see a picture of a male teen with reddish hair, and a full red thick beard. How on earth could a police officer locate Rochelle with a picture of a dude who now wants to be a she -male? I'm pretty open minded and support the 1st Amendment fully. Maybe I'm just different. I just believe in living by basic rules, morals, and respect.

Don't get me wrong, I love my country 100% and bleed red, white, and blue, through and through. Right is right, and wrong is wrong. Up is up and down is down. Moral guardrails area a must for the survival of a family and our great nation. Respect is essential even when we don't agree. Honor and integrity daily are as important as taking mandatory medicines. A dose a day is essential. Boys grow to be men and girls grow to be ladies. Together they can make families. Fairly basic stuff, I think. Yesterday we paid 25 cents to see the exotic creatures at the local carnival and today we just go to Wal Mart and see it all for free. We are surrounded by many who hate our nation, burn our flag, disrespect our laws and citizens, and abuse our "welcome to America" greeting. We need a new greeting I do believe. Maybe something along the line of "You are welcome to America if you arrive to our gate with a job lined up within 72 hours, pay taxes like the rest of us "We the People." respect our laws and customs, citizens, and always answer a question by starting with "ma'am, or sir." My ranting over the issues in America only makes me feel better and does you no good. I know you don't come here to read what I really think and honestly, preparedness is more important now than ever. Agree?

Through observation of blog comments, podcasters, and conversations in general, it is my opinion that many are focused in the wrong area. People are spending time monitoring Washington D.C., the war in Ukraine, Q, the Jan 6 hearings, and other less important topics than what I believe is most essential. Some are preparing for a civil war and the battles taking place in major cities across the nation. For me, it all comes down to one thing. How prepared are you on your local level? Do you have a sheriff that is on your side? Let's break it down even closer to home. I want to focus on you and your current situation. This applies no matter where you may be and who is around you. Homes, apartments, suburban dwellings, rural farms, or even at your place of employment. I can't stress how important it is for you to have a plan to implement or a plan for extraction from the location to a previously identified safer location. The key is to have a plan, know how and when to engage the plan, and be capable of doing the plan. I ask this question to others and hear "I'm going to, or my plan is to, and when I ask, "how you practiced your plan" I hear crickets.

Previously I have discussed, taught, shared, and written about building a five-mile radius plan around your planned location. This can't occur overnight, and it takes work on your part. Let me ask you this question, how much is your ability to survive and take care of your loved one's worth to you? Your effort now will drive the results of my previous question.

I often get asked or hear comments from others stating concerns about neighbors. One of the most frequent statements is "they are Democrats, so how do I get rid of them?" You can't. They are your neighbors and by law are legally authorized to be your neighbor and occupy the home they dwell in. Simple, right? Let me ask you this question, wouldn't it be wiser to invest time and energy today vs waiting till things turn bad and you then having to meet and find common bonds while also working through an emergency type scenario? You may think you have zero in common with the neighbor. Maybe so. But, think of it from a positive approach. You both will need food, water, protection, and the need to be safe. Right? You are going to have to decide what is important to you and what you will compromise on. Survival is the key and arguing with others over politics, spiritual differences, and strength of willpower, may have to take a backseat.

One approach I'm familiar with is an unspoken bond of like-minded property owners who function and operate on their own daily but will lend support to another like-minded property owner when called upon. It may be for labor, security support, expertise on a project, or maybe annual or semi-annual get togethers to roast a hot dog or share a meal of crops from the season.

A desired approach is to know your neighbors, build a bond with them, work together to build a preparedness community of like-minded individuals and keep an open mind to non-likeminded individuals to join at some point. There's many ways you can work this approach. Something I keep open in my mind is regardless of their effort, it is best to know all your neighbors today and know what effort or problems you could get from them when it counts. These could be additional bodies to build in to your security plan as needed, help with labor in the garden, offer a expertise needed for daily chores such as human and animal care, water treatment, and other needs. Or, if you have 25 homes around you and five area non supportive, how many of the families will likely have no food within 72 hours of the SHTF type event starting? What is your plan at this point? How many of your neighbors who didn't plan for a disaster knows you have food? Will this present a problem for you and other like minded families?

Why is it important to spend time together bonding? A group bonds and learns what others bring to the group. Skills and attitudes are critical to the short- and long-term success and survival of the community. Will you know how many Chiefs show up? Or, have you worked through the power struggle and laid out who will be Indians working in the areas needed? Still confused? Host a cook out or neighborhood function for your neighbors and stand back and monitor who attracts people to their conversations? Imagine a neighborhood faced with a post-disaster event and you bring your neighbors together to discuss a plan to sustain through the disaster and then recover. You offer a plan and then five strong willed individuals argue your plan and offer no solutions. Your effort is lost and you are holding a disoriented group of people facing a disaster with no solutions to make life better for those around you, to include yourself. Now what? Just remember, everyone will not be as vested, skilled, and knowledgeable of you.

What will you do if a neighbor brings nothing to the effort? They are still your neighbor and still could be an asset or liability to the situation you face. Imagine if you invest time now to bond and teach skills to these neighbors today? Which would you rather face, a unskilled yet recently trained neighbor or have to face a disaster while having a hand full of neighbors who must be taught while the disaster faces you square in the face? You may think the neighbor or their spouse is a horses patootie but they remain your neighbor. Deal with it now or face the problems when your plate is full.

Something that is painful to admit but a reality is age and physical ability as time passes. I, like many other like-minded Patriots face age and limitations. I don't consider myself old, but I am older than my mind wants to admit. We are all different and our body will determine our ability to do what and for how long. We all must be careful to not get injured while doing preparedness task. I would strongly recommend doing these things today vs waiting till your stress level is elevated and these needed tasks are on the table. Get outside, do some work, and built your tolerance to what you can handle. Age should not be a factor in your effort or willingness to survive. I would encourage you to not hide behind your age or faith. Your faith should be a strength and not become a liability.

What is your plan for those in your neighborhood who are amongst the elderly? Good people with fixed incomes but very limited on anything because of their age and/or physical limitations? They are still breathing humans that must eat and have water. Have you identified them and built a plan to help them survive? I can hear it now, "its not my responsibility." You may want to search in your heart to resolve this possible issue. Now to a tougher question, have you planned and/or considered what you possibly need to do for neighbors with physical disabilities? Do they have family in the home? Has the family prepared the household for disasters? What if the disaster is a flood and the home of the disabled is flooded out and the family must be relocated. Now what? Maybe build a plan for relocation and identify needs that must be met to relocate the person in need.

Children must also be built in to the five-mile radius plan. Children are resilient and should be a part of preparedness training in some fashion. They may not be your children but if they are in your community, you must consider them. What if the parents are killed during the disaster and a home must be established to care for them? What if you have planned for four family members in your home and a sudden event occurs and you now have an additional three children to care for without notice. How will this impact your food supplies? You may not have a choice and now what you planned for is out the window. Can you manage it? You may not have a choice.

HFS has been teaching and preaching the importance of developing a Family Communication Plan using the P.A.C.E. plan. How are you going to communicate when the disaster occurs? What is your plan to bring your family back together if you are apart when the disaster takes place? Imagine your basement is flooding and you are trying to relocate property to an upper floor while family is trying to communicate to discuss what is taking place. Where should we go? What should we be doing? What if you can't reach family by communications? Will you go looking for them and let your basement flood?

What if you lose your home during this disaster? Have you built a post-disaster plan before recovery? What if you took the time now to pre-pack some identified supplies you would need in the first 72 hours. No, grabbing a credit card and running down to a local hotel is not a plan to consider. You are assuming it will be available. Remember, you need to depend on you to the best extent possible. If you have a community team, communicate with your team and pre-identify a place to go. Preposition some resources to that location. Things such as clothing, blankets and pillows, seasonal attire needed for your location, food and water, cash, and any other resources you believe will be a need. If you have children, keep in mind, they are young and operate with the minds of a youth. How can you best comfort your children through this phase.

Another problem you could face is if you are at work or away from home when the disaster strikes. Do you have a plan, with routes and a communication plan that covers this scenario? If you had to walk home from a store, job, or doctor's office, today, do you know how many bridges you may have to transit? What if the disaster takes away roads and the ability to drive home? What type neighborhoods must you transit through with your chosen route? Are you capable of crossing through the water or walking additional mileage to get around the blocked path? What if the distance is further than a single day walk that will not get you home? Have you walked further than the fridge lately? What would you need with you if you had to walk past the mailbox? Cold weather gear? Summer gear? A shelter? Protection? First aid? Flashlight? Have you even thought about these things before? You need to get home to your community and five-mile radius of protection as soon as possible. Can you do it? Bad feet? Bad back? Bad physical condition? Bad attitude? You are placed in a situation of survival and all you have is you for answers and equipment. If you didn't plan and prepare, you will be severely impacted and may not survive. Remember, its on you.

One major step you must complete now is centrally locating all your important documents and papers of importance. Deeds, titles, pictures, diplomas, medical records, finances, wills, powers of attorney, and so forth, should be located in a safe place. If the disaster chases you from your home will you have time to gather the things you need for family and also grab your important files and papers? Consider a HFS Digital Football stick we offer on the website. It is already set up for you with needed files. You simply take photographs of your important documents and save in the provided files. When you run, the portable memory stick goes with you.

Here's the deal, you are responsible for you and your family. How much does your family mean to you? Are you willing to trust distant neighbors or strangers with your loved one's safety and life? If you don't trust them day to day to be in your house, how can you trust them with the safety of your loved ones? The worst mistake preparers will make is assuming anything. Don't be complacent in your plans or decisions.

I am seeing more and more situations where the final conclusion is to have a five-mile-radius plan in place to resolve the problem. It is that simple. How protected do you want to be? The answer is on you. I will tell you, building and sustaining if not easy and it takes work and often an adjustment to approaches. One important point is you, the individual trying to start and set up a community team in your five-mile radius, must be completely sold on the concept and effort you put forth. People notice and are often reluctant to get involved if you can't sale your own beliefs and leadership quality to lead the effort.

You may have to use existing FEMA and Federal government recommendations to procure food and water as your guiding factor. If the government says it, then it must be true and needed. Remember, we live in a society mostly guided and dependent on government guidance and recommendations. If you print out the FEMA and government guidance, please don't wear your t-shirt with guns printed on the front with the words "better dead than red," along with your tin foil self-made hat. You will lose this effort and all efforts post attempt. Make it count the first time. Plan your approach and strategy beforehand. Remember, you may be the most knowledgeable in preparedness and you don't want to lose the war before the first meal is missed. Word spreads fast amongst neighbors and you don't want word spread that some crazy prepper from up the street is pedaling fear porn through the neighborhood.

I am not trying to scare you. I'm trying to wake you up and place you in a small group of prepared citizens who are self-reliant and will not be crippled from poor or no planning and can immediately step up and engage a plan to live through the situation faced. If you do nothing and blow it off, it will be you or your loved one facing the disaster unprepared with no plan to recover.

Many HFS Patriots of all ages put plans in place, travel with Go-Bags or Ready Bags, maintain stocked food and water cleansing capabilities, and put together a family P.A.C.E. plan. It takes time and work but each of these individuals and families are ahead of the majority of the nation and will not be caught with the 90% of the unprepared populace fighting for resources and safety.

When I think about this topic I always end with the same mental picture. That being, a child or grandchild looking up to their parent, grandparent, loved one, or guardian, and saying "daddy/mommy, I'm hungry. Why don't we have any food to eat?" Can you stomach this happening to you? There is no excuse in the world you can respond with that will make your starving loved one's situation better.

No one said getting and staying prepared would be easy. It is hard enough learning about things you need, how to grow food, clean water, build fields of fire for security, communications, medicinal, and all the other areas of preparedness. I believe it is equally as important to understand why you are doing it and understanding one of the biggest threats we will face daily and that is humans. What makes humans tick? How will humans respond when starving? How will good vs evil play out when dealing with humans? Simply put, how will things play out with your neighbor and friend Bob. You have been trying to get Bob and his family to attend church with you for years, to no avail. Now the SHTF and Bob has not prepared. How will you react when his family is starving, and he knows you have food? How will you handle it and protect your family? How will you respond when Bob uses your faith against your psyche to give food to his family? Will you give in to Bob's needs when its taking food from your family? Personally, for me, I want to know as much about the psychology of humans as possible.

Happy reading, listening and watching. Remember, some sites may not agree with your perspective. Take the point or topic and do your own research to validate. Trust your eyes and mind, not what a stranger is telling you to be true.

Many of you started preparing a while ago and others more recently. Some are buying bulk, canned foods from the grocery store, and others may be gardening and canning your vegetables. All food choices to build your food plan and inventory. One of the things often neglected and never considered is what is in the foods you are buying. Remember, in a SHTF situation you may not have medical care or the ability to get to a doctor. You want to be healthy which means eating healthy. Are you conscience of what you consume? Here is a very good video to help you out with things to consider when shopping in the grocery store. Yes, it will take more time to read and review the product ingredients but what is your health worth to you? This video is provided by Off Grid with Doug and Stacy. I would encourage you to add their site to your frequented YouTube sites to visit. Good stuff.

Prayers - Please keep our great nation, our elected leaders, military and first responders in your thoughts and prayers. We pray for good health and wisdom. Please pray for our leadership to find answers and guidance to the problems facing our great nation. May your faith remain strong and answers to the unknown provided. God is good and may our prayers blanket and protect you and your circumstances. I pray for each, and every one of our Patriots.

Please pray for our HFS family. We have numerous prayer needs from state to state. I'm sure folks would appreciate it much.

May we pray for all the blessings and things in life to be thankful about and continued hope for revival around the world. We must continually pray for the unsaved, our family and friends who live each day without the protection for eternal life and salvation.

As Patriots we must stay strong and never give up. Our home, community, and nation need us now more than ever. Stay focused on your local community and things that will impact you around the nation. Don't allow the events around you to create fear in your life. Build your own self-reliance and focus on faith and hope. Remember we are a blessed nation, and we must continue to be great people today and make a better tomorrow. Keep charging.

Blessings,

Bravo Echo Out,
