Patriot Express Newsletter Edition #232

Greetings and welcome to the Patriot Express Newsletter Edition #232. Thanks for being here and sharing your time with us. We appreciate you. I don't know about you but I'm feeling some autumn in the air here in the East Tennessee hills. I'm ready, how about you? The historical records don't indicate this summer was any hotter than the past, but it certainly felt that way.

Hey, welcome to all the new readers. Welcome aboard.

It has been a crazy past four weeks on this end with straight weeks back and forth to Huntsville, AL and back. We will be heading in a different direction this week as we head to the East Coast for a week of vacation. I'm not a big vacation person but I will do my best and smile. If you don't see a newsletter next Friday, you will know I didn't smile enough, and Ms. Lucy hid my computer, and I couldn't work on the newsletter. It would be the first time in nearly five years we didn't post a newsletter weekly. I desperately need a vacation.

Hey, this week was no different from the last and the one before it, and before it. It doesn't matter if we have a nut shortage because Washington, D.C. has the nation covered. Now the FDA is concerned about the upcoming cold and flu season, so they plan to start pulling over the counter medicines used for the same illness? Oh wait, just by chance, the new vaccines for Covid are available. What timing. Isn't it interesting we didn't hear a word about "flu" illnesses for three years during the Covid era and now it's all about the flu. Like a gorilla pounding on their chest over and over again, the result is the same and if people still haven't figured it out that Washington, D.C. is lost and full of crap, then continue to ride the fairy dust train and sip their Kool-Aid.

This edition will have less readable material, but it provides four new HFS YouTube videos.

Let us move along....

Round Table Training for family and friends - So often I am asked questions regarding family and friends who are asleep and not paying attention. Many of you may already follow Southernprepper1 and Practical Survival, and already agree they do a great job almost daily bringing current news and reasons everyone needs to prepare. I have my set-in hand, and this is a great set with endless topics and conversation opportunities.

Here is a great opportunity without putting your loved ones on the spot. These are flash cards with different emergency situations posing the question, "What would you do" in given situations. Here's your chance to purchase Are you Ready? for WROL - A world without the rule of law. It is a game that can be played when company comes over, a weekend grill out, or when family visits. Humble Bundle - Not sure if you a familiar with Humble Bundle. It is a site that offers bundles of books, games, software, music, 3d pintables, etc, etc and some of the proceeds go to charity.

Their latest bundle is a digital collection of a "Survival Readiness Essentials" (42 eBooks) for a donation of at least $18. These are books that are put out by Sky Horse. Some of these I have hard copies from Bill and Jan's (these may not be useful DURING SHTF but studying before hand would be good). Did not know if you wanted to pass this along to the Prep 101 Family.

I have the hard back copies to many of the books offered in digital form for a very low price, bundled. This is a great opportunity to build your digital library and learn a lot of basics to preparedness. (This opportunity was sent to me by a Patriot brother from Western, NC.) Ding, Ding, Ding....Attention HFS readers..... Opinions shared in this newsletter are just that, opinions, and nothing more. Read at your own risk. The owner and author of this site is not responsible for hurt feelings or thin-skinned readers. I do my best to show restraint and respect to the best extent possible. I take as many precautions as possible and try to remain as nonpolitical as possible, however, there are times when I just can't help but point certain things out. Occasionally I use words only Patriots recognize and understand. It's not personal against any non-Patriot. It's just the truth. Sometimes we must pull up our spenders and suck it up. Just saying. Stay the course, read what you want, and avoid the rest. Avoid fear porn as much as possible and the day will be okay. When all else fails… Keep the faith and always have Hope.

Let’s move along and get to some thoughts...

Thoughts for the week -

In this week's mailbag, I wanted to share the following letter with you from a Patriot sister who opens up about the world today, where we have been and where we are now. She doesn't realize many of us are having the same feelings she expresses. Where did time go and how fast it is moving now. I want you to read what she accomplishes in less thana week as part of her preparedness package. She may not realize it yet but what she is sharing appears to be close to a preparedness lifestyle she has achieved. The key here is she isn't giving up and is working hard to catch up. No matter when you started or how far down the preparedness path you have journeyed, you still have much to offer others, as she expresses below. I pass along a big shout out and thank you for reaching out to help the young lady located near you who was seeking information and help. Good job and blessings for your efforts.

From the Mail Bag -

"Wow, another week gone. I don't know if it's just me or if others notice this too, but time seems to have accelerated. I realize it's only a perception but it seems one week finishes, I turn around, and another week has flown by. Maybe it's because I work from home ... I just don't know. I was talking to a friend about this just the other day and mentioned how I would love to wake up to just one more day/schedule like I used to have, where my only thoughts after getting the hair and makeup just right, was what I would wear to work that day and where I would eat lunch. I know this sounds empty-headed but honestly it's not. I was always working in my yard or around the house when I wasn't at work. I love the outdoors. Those days are so far gone. I can count on one hand the times I have put on makeup or dressed my hair in the last year. My life and focus have changed in a way I would never have imagined . . . .

As I was reading about the 15-minute cities and the plans to control the people who live there, my memory caught on an old movie - Logan's Run (1976). i first saw it when I was 13 years old. I loved science fiction and thought the movie was fascinating. I watched it again not long ago. This time it wasn't so fascinating; it was downright terrifying. Speaking of 'aye eye', I had to mention how many times I have thought about a movie I hadn't seen in a few years and the movie(s) would appear in the list on Roku or Amazon after I thought about them. That's some spooky science fiction!

This past Wednesday I turned 60 - 60 years old. How is that possible? Just yesterday I was in my 30s. I was reading your blog section about spending time with your friends who have been married 60 years. I believe that in their 60-year marriage they have accomplished SO much more than I have in my 60-year life. I am sometimes embarrassed and appalled at the same time at how little I have done with my life and in my life. I constantly feel I am playing catch-up, praying that God will forgive me for the things I HAVEN'T done. I have no excuses, just felt I would have more time... At least God gave me the gift of discernment. I have felt and known many things beginning in my younger years. God knew way before I did that I would have need of understanding what was happening and why. I thank Him for those blessings.

I received a wonderful blessing from a group member a couple of weeks back. She contacted me on Signal and asked me if I would be willing to offer her granddaughter some advice. Her granddaughter lives in an apartment as I do, and the group member wanted my advice on how to prepare when living in an apartment. Wow, I had quite a bit of information to give her, and I found that being able to help someone in the same circumstance as me blessed me beyond words. So much for thinking I was no help because I don't have a farm or a big garden. 🥹 God does indeed give us all gifts; sometimes it just takes a little while to realize those gifts.

I did have a very productive holiday weekend. I took Friday off from work to can chicken stock. Ended up with 13 qts and some left over in the fridge with which to make soup this next week. On Saturday, a fellow group member and I traveled to the land of my childhood - XXXXX, approximately an hour from XXXXX. We drove through XXXXXX, where I grew up, and ultimately on to XXXX to another group member's land for some marksmanship practice. I could not believe the all-encompassing peace I felt traveling through these small country towns of my memories. We also worked on instructions for non-technical people to be able to use and communicate using a small ham radio configuration (a 40m multiband, I believe) for emergency purposes. It's these little moments in life here lately that give me a sense of purpose and help me feel useful.

I am signed up for and am eagerly looking forward to the online Traditional Skills Summit. I am looking forward to learning new skills to use in my preparedness efforts. Also, I will be picking up another 20 lbs of potatoes from the farmers market tomorrow, with plans to can those this next week. I am also going to can more green beans and carrots, and ground beef, chicken, pasta sauce, applesauce, and elderberry syrup after I return from vacation in October. I keep getting an odd feeling that this will be the last vacation I will experience for many years, though I do pray I am wrong. It feels as though we are moving so quickly toward a closure, a conclusion of our former lives. It feels like there is a cold hard winter coming ...

Well, I am going to close. Please allow me say how much your time and efforts are appreciated. I look forward to the posts each Friday.

Blessings and prayers to the both of you. I wish for you a wonderful weekend."

Prayers - Please keep our great nation, our elected leaders, military and first responders in your thoughts and prayers. We pray for good health and wisdom. Please pray for our leadership to find answers and guidance to the problems facing our great nation. May your faith remain strong and answers to the unknown provided. God is good and may our prayers blanket and protect you and your circumstances. I pray for each, and every one of our Patriots.

The HFS family needs lots of prayers right now. We have several sisters and brothers in great need of uplifting. We continue to have lots of illness from state to state, and we lost two loved ones in the past two weeks. Please keep these Patriots in your thoughts and prayers.

May we pray for all the blessings and things in life to be thankful about and continued hope for revival around the world. We must continually pray for the unsaved, our family and friends who live each day without the protection for eternal life and salvation.

As Patriots we must stay strong and never give up. Our home, community, and nation need us now more than ever. Stay focused on your local community and things that will impact you around the nation. Don't allow the events around you to create fear in your life. Build your own self-reliance and focus on faith and hope. Remember we are a blessed nation, and we must continue to be great people today and make a better tomorrow. Keep charging.

Blessings,

Bravo Echo Out,
