Greetings and welcome to the Patriot Express Newsletter Edition #307 for May 2026.

Many folks are doing great things in the preparedness arena so don't miss out. HFS has multiple platforms to learn preparedness. You are at the website with over 700 posts on preparedness, the HFS YouTube channel, and the HFS Signal Group which also has a preparedness group, a prayer group, and a ham radio working group. The clock is ticking. Just look around you.


April has been extremely busy working around the home front prepping the garden with 2,400 lbs. of manure and compost, weed pulling, adding two additional tubular galvanized beds, and putting vegetable plants and seeds in the ground. April also included two trips east to VA for our granddaughters Baptisms and another to WV for a friend's retirement. Hopefully this late in April we are past nighttime freezing temperatures. This past week we did have two nights of high 30's. The soil temperature was warm from daytime highs in the low 80s. To keep the soil warm and to protect the plants I put a layer of mulch on the surface around the plants. So far so good. By the way, don't you find planting and working your garden to be a form of therapy?


Each year I pull a seed packet from my Emergency Seed can to my emergency seeds. It's best to find out now what will and won't grow, right? I have experienced a few attempts where the seeds would not germinate. Imagine being in a critical juncture where your survival was based on your seeds working in order to feed your family and you waste a few weeks of growing season trying to get your seeds to grow. This year, so far, I have planted my green beans twice and only one single plant broke the surface. I pulled these particular seeds from a mylar bag containing two-year-old green bean seeds. I went and purchased another set of seeds from my local Co-Op and will try a third planting.


I will tell you a secret. Being in the garden and away from all the negative news is refreshing. It's actually healthy and rewarding.


Ms Lucy and I will be in Oklahoma when this newsletter post for a family event. We will also be visiting a HFS family who resides in the same vicinity. Life is blessed.

The owner and author of this site is not responsible for hurt feelings or thin-skinned readers. I do my best to show restraint and respect to the best extent possible. I take as many precautions as possible and try to remain as nonpolitical as possible, however, there are times when I just can't help but point certain things out. Occasionally I use words only Patriots recognize and understand. It's not personal against any non-Patriot. It's just the truth. Sometimes we must pull up our spenders and suck it up. Just saying. Stay the course, read what you want, and avoid the rest. Avoid fear porn as much as possible and the day will be okay. When all else fails… Keep the faith and always have Hope.


Thoughts for the month - Plant it, and it will grow.....maybe?


I would take up this space with all the crazy events going on around us. From a war in the Middle East that is as confusing as building a greenhouse with Chinese instructions. Festus and I exchange messages almost daily on topics we discussed 10 years ago when our life seemed devoted to figuring out what was ahead. Maybe this is why today, I focus more on my own personal preparedness and surviving what appears to be headed our way. We shared thoughts and beliefs of the future when the response from listeners was starry eyes and disbelief. How on earth could something called AI and robotics be capable of taking so many human jobs when no one had heard much of the topic yet. How a program existed to alter minds and create actions of disbelief through MK Ultra. How a plan was devised in the 1940s where the goal was to remove the father and Father from American homes. How entities within the government was taking part in something called Agenda 21, Wilderness Corridor, and Agenda 2030 which would change American lives completely. What on earth is a "One World Government, the World Economic Forum, and who is George Soros", he said. Honestly, during that period I believe likeminded preppers would believe in Aliens before what we shared. Guess what? These things are now here, and we still don't know the truth about aliens. Three major supporters of our current President, Tucker Carlson, Megan Kelly, and Candace Owens are all now speaking against the same President. What changed? If you travel to Realville you will find that the same President Trump stated as far back as the early 1980s that Iran was the biggest threat to America and if elected President, he would do what no President since Reagan has attempted to do. That being, deal with Iran. What is going on with the 12 Scientist and researchers tied to UFO exploration and time travel who are now missing. Vanished like trillions of dollars to black programs. Gone like our attention span to spend time researching for truth. Just remember this fellow Patriots, elections hold consequences and no matter how much we wish for a return to the Constitution and life as we once knew it, there will come a say when the other party returns to power, and retaliation is going to be heck. I can hear the voice of Kamala Harris saying in 2027, "how did that work out for ya" as she leads the Democratic nomination to the seat of the President of the United States.


What is the truth? I'm past the point of worrying about "will we ever know" and now focus on things I can impact, and priorities needed to best keep life stabilized and to provide the basics needed to life and survive. Like I said in my first book, food, water, shelter, and security, will keep you alive.


I enjoy hearing from HFS sisters and brothers throughout the week when they share stories and pictures of their projects and positive efforts to better their self-reliance and dependability on efforts made to improve their preparedness levels. With this being the start of the gardening season I'm hearing from lots of folks who are focusing on greenhouses of all different shapes and sizes. Here is one example of a mini-greenhouse self-built to place starter seeds. This belongs to a gentleman in southern WV who is very meticulous and each year follows a proven process in starting seeds and then transferring to his garden when ready. He grows one of the healthiest gardens I've witnessed. This family depends on their annual production for food throughout the year 100%. Check this out.



Another HFS sister and brother in Southeast TN just put up a second greenhouse for better heating ability during the winter months. During past winters they used a wood burner for heat during freezing tempartures which meant getting up all hours of the night to load more wood. The new greenhouse below will allow for electric heaters placed throughout for better heat control. You can see a great YouTube description and viewing of the greenhouse here.

We continue reading and hearing of food issues. From impacts caused by the Iran war to natural disasters, fewer farmers, soil erosion, cloud seeding, and more. If things don't change soon, we will be hearing the word famine often on the nightly news. HFS started warning folks six years ago to the issues with beef ranchers and the rising cost to obtain, raise and market beef. Droughts, regulations, and rising feed, equipment, and land costs has pushed the price of beef off the charts. Just a couple years ago a rancher could buy a calf for $500. Today one will pay over $2,500 and I heard this week it's over $3,500 in some regions of the US. You are looking at over $5,000 hanging weight cost and still rising.


Meanwhile more chicken farms are mysteriously burning down, and pigs are being slaughtered for disease. The cost of food in the supermarkets continues to rise and the fuel cost to truck goods to the market is about the same. Unaffordable. What will citizens do when fuel purchases are controlled and restricted and food becomes scarce in the markets? If you think I'm spreading fear porn, wait until I tell you what a starving society is like. What is happening in Washington DC and around the world will no longer matter when we witness starving humans.


Down below in the preparedness section you will find several videos to assist or help you get started or better prepare your growing efforts. The more prepared you become, the less you worry about so much of what is happening in the nation and world. It's called Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs. When we have our basic survival needs our worries grow less.

Don't allow the events around you to create fear in your life. Build your own self-reliance and focus on faith and hope. Remember we are a blessed nation, and we must continue to be great people today and make a better tomorrow. Keep charging.
